New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2x ALL AMERICAN
Nationals went better than I would’ve guessed, I am now a 2x ALL AMERICAN. Placing 5th overall in the mixed 4x400 (50.16 split) and 6th overall in the DMR. This spring season was such a huge surprise and I can’t wait for senior year.
Group 3 Champs Results:
43.1 in the 4x100 for a school record
3:27.07, 50.18 split on the anchor
Unfortunately Meet of Champions just slipped out of our hands but we still got nationals to close out the season
At the NJ Group 3 State Championship I ran a time of 62.49 to take 4th place in the 400 hurdles! This was 2 and a half second PR! I can’t wait to compete at MOC on Wednesday!
Central groups 2 and 3 sectionals results!!!
Day 1:
4x1: 43.27 for third
Day 2:
400: 49.89 for third
4x4: 4:26.89 for third (51.2 split practically running in lane 2 the whole way and battling for first place at the handoff)
We snagged the boys title for group 3, good run.
Recap of Monmouth County CHAMPions
Number 1 in the 400 (49.66), and the 4x1 (43.61) Lots of workouts, tears, and too much vomit have finally started to pay off. Hoping I can get into a groove and drop that 400 into the 48 range. 22.99 in 200, that’s improving asap.
@labkovski@cncoachhein I could never have done this without your constant encouragement, attention, and honesty. Thank you for everything you’ve given me, it’s time I start giving back.
Today, I did something that I’ve been working towards for years. The Colts Neck High School record for the 400m is mine (49.66). I can’t thank my coaches, friends, and family enough for the continued support over the years. The work isn’t finished though, better times to come.
🚨 SEASON OPENER 🚨 12:16/24 STCA szn opener @ ocean breeze
Scratched the 400 due to a bit of a virus but came back for the 4x2 to run a 22.67 split (fastest split from any team). Hoping to get back to the 400 soon, Junior year gonna be a good one.
This evening, my father @labkovski got his EDD. Early in the defense, you said you hope you make us proud. I don’t tell you often enough, but, in all you do, and all you will do…you make me proud. I attribute all my successes to you, congratulations old man. #youcanlearnanything
Boys team finishes 3rd (only 6 pts out of first). 1600 goes 1, 2, 3 (Hunter Celukpa, Jay Adimala, John Shapiro), 4x800 1st (Eren Alpa, Andrew Krok, Ryan Brush, Jacob McNamara), 4x400 2nd (Charlie Labkovski, Joe Louro, Mason McQuagge, Andrew Besculides)
Yesterday I ran at the Monmouth County Boys Frosh/Soph Championship meet and came out placing first overall for the 200 and the 400 for sophomores. 23.09 for 2, and 51.19 for 4, both big PR’s. Hoping to dip below 23 and 51 in the near future.
Should’ve been keeping up with my progress so far with the season, but in summary I’ve been consistently running 51-high and didn’t see much improvement; and against my better judgment haven’t been keeping updates.
Colts Neck Invitational Yesterday
100: 11:48 won my heat and 5th overall (everyone underformed due to inclement weather towards the begging of the meet)
400 leg of the Swedish Medley: 51.6 as well as a season opener, 4th overall
Congrats to my teammate Mike Friscia on taking home the win in the 100 last Monday, great season opener for everyone with a PR for myself as well. Looking forward to a great outdoor season! https://t.co/uyDxSUN6eJ
MEET DAY: Good to be back in the 400, split a 55.3 in the dmr and came out with a nice little state champ gold. Another 24.1 split for the smr but no complaints here 6th overall, 23 seconds soon to come!!! No photos on milesplit yet so these will do.
