I don’t even know where to begin. An absolute legend. I would not be the wrestling fan I am today without Hulk Hogan. People can have their personal opinions but you can’t have a wrestling Mount Rushmore without him. This one hits hard. I don’t quite have the words. RIP, brother.
This still feels like an overpay, that will probably look worse once Philadelphia crushes the but even a declining A.J. Brown is the Patriots best receiver. Hopefully they get a couple of elite seasons out of him.
🚨🚨🚨
ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting.
If the return for A.J. Brown is straight up a 2028 first round draft pick — and from what I understand, that is the case — then it would come two draft cycles after the parameters of a deal between the #Eagles and Patriots were likely set.
That’s quite a drop in compensation if the initial asking price, as I had heard it, was a first and a second rounder. Some of that seemed posturing.
But the Rams were really the only other serious suitor. Brown was coming off a down season, has medical concerns with his knees, and requires some maintenance off the field. He’s also still highly regarded around the league and has many who vouch for his character and leadership.
The Eagles will save money by moving him — a significant $133.1M in cash — but there is also a dead money charge (around $43M) that necessitated a post-June 1 roster move. So they will be getting more than just the future first rounder for Brown.
It’s not apples to apples, but if you look at the most recent trade for a top receiver — the Broncos gave up 2026 1st, 3d and 4th round picks for Jaylen Waddle and a Dolphins 4th — the Eagles’ return isn’t close to comparable.
Waddle is 19 months younger, but he’s a tier below Brown. Perhaps Denver overpaid, but that market should have conceivably helped the #Eagles.
@OsheaJacksonJr Jacob was already at that level. He just defeated Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania. If he stayed on Smackdown, challenging Cody for the WWE championship wouldn’t have been out of place at all. When all is said and done, we’ll have to pretend like Roman “elevated” him now.
I’m not afraid to admit that I wanted the Knicks to win one in the 90’s. They had a ton of guys through the years that I was a fan of. Ewing, Charles Oakley, Larry Johnson, loved John Starks, Marcus Camby. I was a bigger fan of David Robinson though. Similar feeling this time.
Aside from the fact that the Spurs might be the most fortunate franchise in sports history, you love to see this. Every team dreams of having a superstar this great, that wants it this badly.
I find Gable’s El Grande Americano very entertaining. I would’ve been fine with him continuing forever but this was a natural progression. Kaiser caught fire in Mexico. He deserves this.
I don’t think these tournaments should ever be decided by a shootout but I can’t imagine there is a worse feeling in sports than missing one. It’s fascinating to see near misses, compared with total chokes. #ChampionsLeague
Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has passed new anti-tanking rules that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams get penalized with lessened chances for the No. 1 pick, and flattened odds, sources tell ESPN.
@jimsoxfan My favorite was all the people who defended Chaim and the Red Sox direction by having all those guys penciled in and were expecting a wagon.
