Pete Townshend getting some serious air at Shea Stadium on October 13, 1982. Ebet Roberts caught this moment during the second night of The Who's big two-night stand in New York. The band was calling this their First Farewell Tour, right after putting out the It's Hard album. Back then, people really thought this was the end of the road for them, which gave these huge stadium gigs a lot of weight. Were any of you out in the crowd at Shea Stadium for these back in '82? What stands out the most when you look back at those nights? Drop your memories in the comments! 👇
