@Achillobator_G@Beast_SculptKit Honestly from how the joints are done, I don't think the acro's neck will be able to look down too well. However, the rex 2.0's articulation enables it to have great downwards range.
"Well actually, you see, because this is not my study animal or group of special interest, this latest record breaking auction of part of my natural history is totally fine and okay actually. I'm very smart."
@CharlieRex26@Fossilcrates Keep in mind that this shows every bone that’s present *at all* as fully filled in. The press images show obvious restoration of at least the scapulocoracoids. Makes you wonder how much of the rest of the skeleton is real vs sculpture…
@JGN_Paleo@Fossilcrates Great thing to point out, the skeletal is clearly a rough overview. Nevertheless I really hope it lands into a museum or institution that can do some research and display this beast to the public.
A new king!
$43,000,000 sold
I would love to see this CT scanned to see how much is original bone.
Alas, even in a museum tis nigh unstudyable as is mounted real bone. Short of a CT no way to know what is truly original versus painted/plastered.

@RickRaptor105@Doshaguma3000HQ This specimen consists of mainly scutes that were assigned to the Dynamosaurus holotype along with t.rex remains. This shows that a tyrannosaurus took a bite into an ankylosaurus whether it was scavenging or eating its own kill but it shows that a Rex could bypass its armour.
@RickRaptor105@Doshaguma3000HQ That kinda sucks, would love to get some good ankylosaurus representation. However, on instagram I keep getting content on how “invincible” ankylosaurus from predation when the NHM in London has a ankylosaurus specimen with scutes with Rex bite marks in them.
One perk about owning scientifically grounded dinosaur figures, especially those of the same scale, is the ability to demonstrate points visually.
Just an observation about the theropod body plan I had cooking in my head for a while now.
@Sketchy_raptor Agreed, it’s honestly the first design I think of for a post dinosaur Renaissance/ 90’s design for a Rex. It outdid several designs that came after it like WWD ect.
"The Untouchable Colossus"
An immense Brachiosaurus...an animal so enormous that even formidable predators such as Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus could do nothing but stand in awe of its sheer grandeur and dominance.
