When it all began...
Winston Churchill’s memo of 22 June 1940 - 78 years ago today - calling for “a corps of at least 5,000 parachute troops” is considered the birthday of @BritishArmy#airborne forces.
@BBC_HaveYourSay I am one of the lucky few who has managed to get on the housing market. I would use the £10k the government may provide to pay off my mortgage.
@theresa_may we have lost a good MP @AmberRuddHR for a pathetic reason. Having targets to monitor performance and something to strive for is not a bad thing. They are illegal! Had you not had targets you would have been criticised for having a lack of a handle on the home office.
@jeremycorbyn and @HackneyAbbott get off your high horse! The windrush issue has been there through several governments! As for the illegal immigrants target, (separate issue) there has 2 be a way of monitoring performance, they are illegal and have no right to be here.
Because of @HackneyAbbott I can no longer support Labour. You my dear are simply terrible at your job! And @jeremycorbyn you scare the shit out of me. @OwenSmith_MP sort it out if you want a party left.
@elonmusk why don’t you fly your rockets under or on top of an aircraft as high as possible before igniting the engines rather than from the floor. Surly it would save money even if you had to spend more on developing an aircraft to make it possible.
@jeremycorbyn let’s say you get into power. You seek a UN led investigation into chemical weapons in Syria, Russia Veto again. You call Putin up for a chat, he hangs up. You call Assad up, he hangs up. What next? Diane said, just hope. We could pray, sing kumbaya, do rain dances.
2/2 @jeremycorbyn Ideally we would not be fighting Russia in a proxy war and ideally we would be simply bring Assad to justice but your dithering has made the situation more difficult. There are repercussion for entering conflict and not. We NEED 2 focus on helping the refugees.
1/2@jeremycorbyn I’ve supported you but your ability to support Syria through military interventions shows weekness and indecisiveness. I am opposed to military intervention where possible but this has pushed those boundaries which I hoped even you would see.
