Went for a short hike to the summit of Buffalo Mountain, Meadows Of Dan, Virginia. At the top, elevation of 3,971 feet, it was cold and windy. The view is amazing!
Yesterday afternoon the temperature on The New River Trail was 37 degrees. I got in a ride from Austinville to Foster Falls and back. The trail surface was mushy in some places and frozen in others. It was great to get out and ride on the trail, despite the challenging surface.
Rode down the alley and out into the street countryside today on my King Of Mercia. Half way through my ride I decided it’s just cold! It was still better than not riding at all.
It was another great day to ride from Fries! I took my Gunnar Sport through Providence, Spring Valley and Liberty Hill. It’s nice to have the large seatbag on this bike, just in case.
Until today the only miles ridden on my Gunnar Crosshairs had been on gravel. I went for a hilly road ride today. Bike performed well and was a lot of fun!
It stopped raining and dried up enough this afternoon for a cool fall ride. My Gunnar Roadie is a long term bike. I like the reliability of the steel frame and fork. Years ago I wore out and replaced the first Shimano Ultegra Group on this bike.
It was a beautiful day for a ride through Spring Valley and Liberty Hill on my Gunnar Roadie. It just doesn’t get better than this. I hope to do this route again soon.
