Had an awesome time learning from colleagues at #POCCS2023. What a pleasure to get to learn from people like @SCCMPresident, @CaitHurleyMD and Marie Steiner. I had so much fun entering the world of oncocritical care and meeting new friends like @CharlieTreinen!
@MedEdMomma @NCHPedsRes SHE’S GONE DARK AND WE SHOULD BE WORRIED. Is she in a lecture worrying about not finishing her notes before signout? Flying around the floor running ACTs? Stuck on the phone with IR?
There’s nobody quite as terrific as @MedEdMomma, our PD-turned-intern on the frontlines of the Infectious Diseases service. Remember to finish your hospital courses! #InternoftheYear#YesIwillFixThoseOrders
SURPRISE, the #ivermectin and “high-dose vitamin” (as my patients’ parents say) study touted by #COVID conspiracy theorists was false. They actually proved that those patients did worse.
The vaccines, however, work. And they’re safe.

Looking forward to @pfizer details on safety/efficacy & hoping an EUA will be approved soon!
Encouraging clinical data paving the way for #COVIDVaccination in ages 5-11. Let’s hope it’s just as safe and effective as it is in adults and adolescents! Let’s protect kids. #COVID19
AAP is encouraged by @pfizer's announcement and looks forward to reviewing the data from the clinical trial. All children deserve protection against COVID-19, and the AAP is eager to see the FDA review the full set of data as a next step for approval for children, ages 5-11.
