I don’t care whether an idea comes from the left or the right. I care whether it’s true.

@chris_cross1498 Don't be intimidated by the trans activist mob, that's exactly how we got here. They batter, intimidate, threaten and shame people who speak out, and cowards cave in. Only the brave continue to speak out, otherwise we would be in an even more dystopian place than we are already.
@prodnose I still think Germany are likely to win this match, but you're right. Their performance is disjointed. They flattered to deceive. And the brand is definitely overshadowing the players on the pitch.
UK Government: "We're going to give kids puberty blockers so they have time to question their 'gender identity'."
Also UK Government: "We're going to make it illegal to cause people to question their 'gender identity'."
Pride should be about actual gay people to set a good example. It should show people that being gay is not a hindrance to our life and that we can be successful, get married, have families, and be normal people. What Pride has turned into today makes gay people look really bad and is not the reason Pride began in the first place.
This dishonest virtue signalling is utterly revolting.
The @UKLabour gvt are introducing the most homophobic & abusive legislation imaginable.
Sterilising, castrating or amputating breast of healthy young people is not the virtue @AlexJJNorris thinks it is.
It’s abuse
Before I address your intemperate language, India, let me first dismantle your arguments.
Being gay and being trans are not the same thing, and that’s where your argument falls apart. If someone is gay, even if they realise it as a child, they don’t fear the natural development of their body. They don’t feel the need for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or surgery. They simply grow up, reach adulthood and, if they’re gay, they’re gay.
I agree that no religious fanatic should try to coerce someone into being heterosexual. But that’s a completely different issue from parents wanting to protect children from medical interventions with lifelong consequences.
What’s actually happened, thanks to extreme trans ideology, is that many young people who would once have concluded they were simply gay are instead persuaded they’ve been ‘born in the wrong body’ and need to transition to feel happy and ‘authentic’. That’s why conflating gay rights with trans ideology is such a mistake.
I don’t care if you want to live your life as a woman, but I don’t think biological men should be able to stroll into women’s bathrooms, jails or other female-only spaces. If women’s rights aren’t based on biological sex, what are they based on - feelings?
Children should be allowed to grow up without being put on a medical pathway. If they’re gay, no harm has been done. And if, as adults, they still want to transition, that’s their decision. But no medicine or operation changes biology.
Many young people with gender dysphoria no longer experience it as they grow older, and some who transition later detransition. Yet you seem to have little regard for those who were led towards irreversible treatment when they were simply gay. “Transing away the gays” is a phrase you’ve no doubt heard before.
And by the way, your ad hominem attacks only undermine your own arguments. The fact you assumed I’m a woman who enjoys the company of animals is exactly the sort of remark a chauvinistic pig would make. Funny that.
I hope the day comes when you and your party stand up for the hard-won, biology-based rights of women — and stand against medical experimentation on gender-confused kids. I won’t hold my breath, though, because it seems like scores of your MPs wake up every morning obsessed with virtue signalling their adherence to divisive identity politics. The rest of their spare time, they seem to spend waving Palestine flags and lending succour to the terrorist fanatics who want to destroy Israel, ironically the only place in the Middle East where gay or trans people would be safe to live.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Chancellor seems to have been determined to increase the benefits bill while doing her best to add to the many burdens on small businesses.
The only way you can provide hope, Andy, is by taking on the blockers, the woke warriors, the loony lefties and the anti-Israel nutjobs in your own party. And, frankly, I don’t think you’re up to the job.
