So I’ve been telling them I’m in the US to study and work, and as usual they trusted me 100% (I think), my dad even came all the way back to Vietnam just to help me with everything during the few months leading to my consulate interview. It’ll hurt bad if they disown me…

to update you guys on this he got kicked out of the house at 16 for being gay. my parents refused to take him in so he was homeless for a week before his grandma took him in. homophobia is genuinely sickening as to how easily it can dissolve a parent's love for their child.
