The Academic Registrar -Prof. @BuyinzaMuk99226 assured the public that everything was in place ready for #Mak76thGrad. He said that all transcripts were ready, the Registrars from the different colleges received the transcripts. Students can pick their transcripts before graduation. Starting February 2, 2026, @MakerereAR and Graduation Committee will set up an information tent outside the Senate Building to provide guidance and handle all inquiries pertaining to #Mak76thGrad.

I handed over all the transcripts for the undergraduate graduands to the college registrars for distribution ahead of the 76th graduation ceremony scheduled from 24th to 27th February 2026. During the 76th graduation ceremony, we will confer PhDs on a record 185 graduands, the highest number at a single graduation ceremony in Makerere’s history. I congratulate the students and the staff of Makerere University on a job well done.

Earlier today, we held a press conference in preparation for the forthcoming #Mak76thGrad which will be held from February 24th - 27th 2026. This graduation will see 185 PhDs, 2034 Masters, 6043 Bachelors conferred. Vice Chancellor @ProfNawangwe said that the number of PhDs would be higher if @GovUganda sponsored #PhD training.
