@thisone0verhere In quite a few companies in Germany, that's totally a thing. At my last workplace we did that 2-3 times a year and it counted as part of work.
@MsNemah@ulxma It's hilarious how so many of them boil down to "if women vote, men will have to take care of children and the household". So men are afraid of this kind of life but want to subject women to it? If anything, that's an argument for remaining childfree and automation of housework.
@ABeardedPanda I literally met people in Uganda who didn't even have a flush toilet in their home but still employed servants. Westerners underestimate how cheap labour is in some parts of the world.
@ABeardedPanda Read a thread by Nigerians immigrating to the UK who complained that full time maids were unaffordable there. Those were nurses and physiotherapists etc. Not super rich. In those countries u can get a maid for less than 20$ a month + room & board. Enough desperate people around.
@intentionalisms And it's supposed to go by intelligence but everyone knows it actually goes by your parent's background. I went to a Gymnasium and it was basically a ton of upper middle class kids and a few exceptionally bright working class kids.
@EllyArrow The other extreme: Celebrating female feedee onlyfans models. Saying they're empowering and body positive. I'm all for body positivity, I'm plus sized myself, but weighing 600 lbs, being immobile and dying early because some dudes think it's sexy is NOT an empowering choice.
@EllyArrow I once read that anorexics should not be hospitalized or persuaded to get any treatment. They should be informed about the health consequences, including possible death. If they still continue, they should be left alone, even if they die, because it's their choice.
