Excited about today’s @_ARIPO Ambassadors’ Engagement hosted at our headquarters in Harare.
I am sincerely grateful to Hon. Prof. Dr. Amon Murwira, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade
@MoFA_ZW, for honouring us as Guest of Honour.
His insightful remarks were nothing short of a masterclass—highlighting the power of intellectual property in building knowledge economies, advancing Pan-African development, and deepening multilateral collaboration.
We deeply value his unwavering support and strategic leadership as we work together to position IP as a driver of innovation and economic transformation across Africa.

Earlier today, Director General @BemanyaT hosted Botswana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Dr. Lemogang Kwape, at the ARIPO Headquarters.
Honourable Dr. Kwape’s was accompanied by the Ambassador of Botswana to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Mrs. Sarah Sithabile Molosiwa.
This visit follows an invitation extended to The President of the Republic of Botswana, H.E. Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, in November 2023 by the ARIPO DG.
This invitation was extended when His Excellency President Masisi officially opened the 19th Session of the ARIPO Council of Ministers held in Gaborone.
Part of their discussions included ARIPO's collaboration efforts with Regional Bodies and the transformation of Africa's trade industry through intellectual property.
