Can writing fan fiction enhance literary analysis? It seems to me that writing an "unwritten" section from Gatsby--say, what Daisy and Tom are doing a month after the book ends--requires deep character knowledge. I'm interested in contacting teachers who explore this connection.
Kids pick up on more than we realize. They will notice our mood… whether it’s a good one or a bad one. And they will notice our example… whether it’s a good one or a bad one.
Starting May 29, through the end of June, eight Round Rock ISD locations will provide children 18 years and younger access to free, healthy meals.

To all the lady educators out there who may not have biological children of your own… Happy Mother’s Day to you too! You guide, support, nurture, encourage, and care for kids all day long. You have the HEART of a mother! And so we honor you!
I stand with the South Carolina educators who are speaking up, organizing, and marching to the Statehouse today. We must pay our teachers a living wage, get them the resources they need, and fully invest in their classrooms. This can’t wait any longer.

A5: The socio-emotional well-being of our students comes first. Our students experience the world differently, each one. Allow students to share what they know about a topic, bring in real world experiences to the classroom and show them available resources that are open.#G2Great
A4: Our students are currently discovering their identities while in our classrooms. Are we encouraging them to be themselves? Are we discussing the differences we all have that make us special during our classroom meetings? #G2Great
A3: Strive for words other than “good”, “nice”, “great” etc. that do not make feedback personalized. When a child hears, “good job” they don’t react in the same way as if they were to hear their name embedded in the feedback. #G2Great

I'm convinced that the most important word in curriculum development is "no." We layer program over program. We add but are reluctant to subtract. The result is clutter and the haunting feeling that we aren't doing anything thoroughly or well.
