I live by the sea in a big surf community, so there has been a big problem with people surfing and ultimately ending up in groups. They have ended up closing the beaches... dog walking also fine; dog owners delighted ;)

@toniford @ThisisDavina I realize I missed your point, because until they close the schools, you have to keep going in. & closing schools helps because kids are breeding grounds for viruses, but then so many parents work in healthcare and cant look after kids at home... a nightmare. Stay safe x

@toniford @ThisisDavina Literally every single person I know is in the same boat. No idea how we will pay bills for the rest of our lives. Just assume you & most other people have the virus & no symptoms & then think of someone vulnerable you care about. I have no backup plan, but I'm staying home.

@LewisJ815 I don't know anyone here that knows how they are going to pay the bills, my landlord included. But I do live in a building full of lovely elderly people with underlying health conditions and I would prefer to struggle financially for the rest of my life than see them catch COVID.

@ThisisDavina Also, would recommend everyone in UK starts acting like they are in lockdown in advance. Once you understand what is happening you will regret not paying more attention earlier. Hospitals will have to choose who to save. You can limit the extent to which that happens now.

@ThisisDavina Still no idea what will happen for rent, bills, work, etc. Government has announced measures, like postponing tax and social security payments and bank loans, but surviving financially will b another question. Seems trivial when u think about what others are facing though!

@ThisisDavina Can't go & see friends/family. BF's family is an hr away but we are staying in the flat. Because you have to assume you have the virus and act accordingly in order to prevent it spreading to ppl who are more vulnerable. Lots of virus brought to countryside by ppl who fled cities
