The kind of illegal business that goes on in most Government-owned hospitals is quite alarming.

A full medical ward, there's no oxygen head available but a nurse will have about three in her possession for hiring at N5k for 3 days.

Dressing of patients wound; Nurses will tell you it's not part of their job, that if you want the injury to be dressed you'll have to pay.

They charge as much as N1k for Fasting Blood Sugar test for patients, whereas a pack of the "on call sugar test stripe" is N5,000 and it haves 25 pcs in a pack.

Every patient admitted into their ward will have to pay N6k for 1ltr of Jik and other washing detergents.

A potter helping your relative with a stretcher to go upstairs to the ward will ask you to pay 2k for the stretcher ( that he borrowed it from the ambulance people)..

Omo, it's no funny, we live in a very lawless country seriously 🤦‍♂️

A motorist was flagged down on the highway by a man holding a stick. Initially, the driver believed the individual to be a criminal. Upon noticing the customs uniform, the driver concluded it was safe to stop, though the encounter still felt dangerous throughout.

This man was suspended today by Abia State University.

Investigations so far have revealed that he has been involved in grade sorting and other strange activities. He charges as high as N1.5m to pass MBBS exam.

The Abia State Government has intensified its investigation and is reviewing results and mark sheets for all students in the Uni for the past 5 years.

Some graduates' results may be cancelled after this investigation.

This is the most thorough academic investigation at any Nigerian university so far.

Africa is not being underestimated by anyone. That is a dangerous misconception that I once had.

What is actually happening is that Africa is being deliberately underreported and suppressed from mainstream global news cycles because some powerful people need to keep it a secret that their dominance over the global economy as we know it is entirely built on extracting 100 for the price of 0.5 from Africa.

If that coup in Niger had never happened for example, we would never have known that France's famously cheap and plentiful nuclear energy which makes up 70% of its energy mix, and which it sells to the rest of Europe, was cheap and plentiful because Orano spent decades bending Niger over a barrel, paying the country 50 euro cents/kg for Yellowcake uranium when the market price was between €150 and €200/kg.

We didn't know this - but France and its EU collaborators absolutely did, which is why they're sponsoring EU resolutions condemning the AES every 5 minutes. They know exactly what they've lost!

The only people underestimating Africa are Africans - because we have no fucking clue what we are sitting on and we still get most of our information from predatory western sources. Don't get it twisted - everybody outside Africa who matters fully understands what Africa is, which is why Ethiopian Airlines keeps recording a new record profit every year, and it is building the world's largest airport in Bishoftu. Most of that traffic is not made up of Africans.

The gateman in our section of the estate earns a N70k monthly salary.

We have 16 flats and about 15 cars in the compound. He washes our cars every day for N1k each because it’s cheaper than taking them to a car wash.

He also does laundry for 5 people every weekend at N1,500 each..that’s another N30k monthly.

Then I sat down to calculate everything… Omo, this guy is making close to N550k every month. 😂

As if that’s not enough, he has a small farm at the back where he grows yam and pepper. He sells to us in the compound, and even has 2 Okada that comes to deliver from him daily.

I had a Saudi classmate when I was fling my Masters. He explained to me that all Saudis in the UK were fully sponsored by the government. I asked what his plan was after school, he said he was going back home to take up a job. He didn't even like the UK. I don't blame him, he struggled with the language and culture.

I had Korean classmates (those ones are always rich and clean). No one was staying back or had plan to.

I saw Chinese classmate 2 years later. He had started a business with his babe. He told me the government encourages them to take loan to invest abroad. I thought we were just having a discussion. I didn't know he had his plan mapped out.

My Spanish friend (the only one I still talk to), I asked him when he was going to pick up his British passport since he was eligible for it having been in UK for many years, he said he didnt need it that his passport takes him where he needs to go. I spoke to him recently and he said he is looking to leave the UK soon. He wants to return home to Barcelona. That reminds me, he has been inviting me to Barcelona 🤦‍♂️

At the start of Covid, my Canadain flatmate packed his bag and left. He told me he would finish his program from there. I once asked how he was paying for his program (Law Undergraduate), he said he took a loan from the bank in Canada.

Then you look at Nigerians- we are always looking for how to stay back at all cost because home offers nothing. Conversation always centred around sponsorship jobs - even if it is care job. This is after working 12 hours shift through out your Masters to pay for your fees and cover for your living expenses. People are even so desperate, they are paying 10k to 12k for sponsorship job just to stay back.
