The latest trend of proclaiming that autism isn't a disability is rooted in ableism. You can be proud of being autistic without throwing everyone with support needs under the bus.
Did you know...?
Autistic burnout is pervasive, long-term (3+ months) exhaustion, loss of function, and reduced tolerance to stimulus. It's described as being the result of chronic life stress and a mismatch of expectations and abilities without adequate supports.

Time for a long RANT, becuase I have NEVER been more disappointed in Nintendo then I am today, this is a huge step back for accessibility in gaming...

Where are my fellow #autistic people at!
I saw this in a group I’m in and decided to post it here for us to have some fun and have a laugh with each other as a distraction with everything going on.
Fell feee to share it about.
@RealStrictlyLTD I feel disappointed this post doesn’t even address the game m I sadly had to ask a refund for due the lack of updates. Hopefully that means other people got it now.
@isaac_kh You know how you can think about something, and start the process of planning/action to actually do the thing? Now imagine if every step felt like it had to be done first, and you could use every ounce of willpower exhausting yourself to “just Start! Get up!” and it not working.
Ugh. This woman never fails to find new ways to be disgusting.
I swear if I have to see to anything related to Harry Potter more than two minutes straight, I’m gonna start burning buildings.
Fuck Rowlings.
Do any other autistic people feel like they move their faces so much and are really animated yet it doesn’t show? I always feel like I’m grinning like the Cheshire Cat and putting my face through a workout, yet when I catch a glimpse of myself I look so subdued.
Professionals are quick to say they can’t be certain it’s autism, because autism presentations can look like trauma symptoms, but nobody asks *why* autism presentations look like trauma symptoms? Maybe it’s because we are traumatised. What *does* trauma-free autism look like?
