the reason imo why vintage slabs didn't pull back during the summer with modern pokemon cards is because we have an invisible hand in the form of gacha companies that are constantly buying enough vintage slabs that it absorbs any additional selling of vintage cards

now that vintage cards are gaining in popularity again and pendulum is swinging back away from modern I think itll be a race to accumulate them

then I look at this chart of what I view as the index sentiment of graded vintage pokemon (psa 7 base set charizard)

It looks like its primed to go parabolic after a 4 year accumulation period with improving fundamentals
