we have normalised overconsumption. listening to a podcast while we walk, scrolling reels in the toilet, listening to music while we cook, watching a show on Netflix while we eat. it’s as if there is NO breathing space for your mind. you’re constantly trying to fill the void, the stillness and yet here you’re complaining about feeling groggy and demotivated.
When it comes to human relationships, extending grace is a must. If not it’ll be broken relationship after broken relationship and you’ll just be filled with anger and resentment. Let (the small) things go.
I think Nigerians have a love for people who play dumb. The dumber you appear to be/act the more people gravitate towards you. There seems to be a slight disdain for educated people. I call it The Circus Clown Phenomenon
