Four books on trading methods that actually hold up: Gann, Fibonacci, Wyckoff, Elliott — checked against evidence, not sold on faith.
I wrote these because most trading education either worships these methods uncritically or dismisses them outright. Neither is honest. Some of it works. Some of it doesn't. The books say which is which.
Built two TradingView indicators around what actually held up - Floor Pivots and Fib Trend Confirmation - no signals, just the levels.

Gold rejected right at today's pivot while the trend was still marked bearish on the .618 - that's the confluence, not a coincidence.
Built two indicators around this: Floor Pivots + Fib Trend Confirmation. No signals, just the levels.
Fibonacci trader draws the retracement. Doesn't like where it lands. Redraws from a slightly different low. Ancient tradition, passed down through generations.
9/ The odd thing is that Gann's real contribution — take time seriously, measure moves against a rate — is more interesting than the legend built on top of it.

1/ W.D. Gann is supposed to have turned $300 into millions using planetary alignments and a secret geometry he took to his grave.
By most accounts, his estate was modest.

8/ What survives:
→ Angles as a reference rate, if you fix your scaling and stay consistent
→ Time as a dimension worth watching, not just price
→ Fractions of a prior range as watched levels
What doesn't: prophecy, planets, and the returns.
8/ Wyckoff gives you the best structural vocabulary in technical analysis. It does not give you access to anyone's intentions.
Keep the first part. Drop the second.

1/ Three threads in, so here's the awkward one: Wyckoff is basically right.
Not "right if you squint." Right. Which makes what's been done to it more annoying, not less.

7/ Use it for what it does:
→ Read range behaviour: is supply or demand getting exhausted
→ Treat volume as evidence, not as a mind-reading device
→ Let it tell you what kind of market you're in, not what happens next
