@ArguablyAnna@matt19850 Think that’s why it’s so good for younger audiences. It keeps a lot of the wonder in the story. It doesn’t go into too many details about how or why things work the way they do, which is good for children who mostly just want to hear/see something awe inspiring.
@30GotNext I mean we “can” it’s just a lot harder to do. It’s like if Klay had to miss a game on of the Pre-Durant Warriors teams against a good team in the playoffs. Obviously Curry as good enough to get a win but when you’re going against other great players it’s helpful to have everyone
@TeaKupps Genuinely doesn’t matter at all as long as the give aways aren’t close to net and when he does keep the ball, he’s scoring goals. If those two things remain true, him losing the ball a lot throughout a 90+ minute match becomes completely insignificant.
@Coopz___ You basically have to have a crazy long peak like Messi or start scoring a bunch of goals in your first go around to get to an even somewhat high number.
@Coopz___ Most players are lucky to get 4 prime years and even if they get that, that might only equate to 1 World Cup of being elite. Players like Messi who are great even when their physical ability is diminished or Mbappe, who was great at such a young age are rare.
@icourtneycries Only guy on the team who gets thrown out there with a clean relay. Slowest baseball player I’ve ever seen in my life. Runs like his feet are literally made of cement
@FlaggHOF32@ryanhammer09 It’s not obvious when you factor in that a lot of American sport fans know nothing about soccer but know everything about the most important position in the most popular sport in their country. There’s a lot more nuance to the question than “would you like to be the greatest?”
@ryanhammer09 Obviously to you the question is a joke because you know how great Messi is and being him would be a dream. Just like I’m sure there’s a lot of Americans who would be just as emphatic in their stance of being Eli Manning, bc they’d get to be a NFL QB which just means more to them
@ryanhammer09 I understand your point but I think you mistook this as a Messi vs Eli Manning thing which I don’t think it was. It was more of a question geared towards Americans who know way more about American Football and therefore have more of an emotional connection to it.
@really_rational@ClayTravis That would only work if he denied Messi the ball the entire game bc if he’s the only one worried about Messi and Messi gets the ball, he’s cooked immediately and then he’s just in on goal.
@DatPhatMeat69@amort9924 Was never this big at any other point during the past couple of years. You’re the one who needs to either pay more attention or get your eyes checked bc it’s not really close. Sure he was always built but never even close to round like now.
@Ceesky23@_piccone AJ was not actually that crazy in 2024 in my opinion. He said some stuff but it actually was mostly within reason and when the passing offense sucked. Last year, he was doing it even when he had a good game. He just wasn’t where he wanted to be and it was clear. It’s different
