After nine NFL seasons, Eagles WR DeVante Parker has decided to retire, he said Monday night.
As much as he looked forward to his time with the Eagles, Parker decided the time had come to spend more time with his family that includes his four children.
ย
โI want to see my kids, spend quality time with them,โ Parker said. โI want to be there for them whenever I can.โ
The 31-year-old Parker is walking away from the NFL and looks forward to whatever is next, though he has no definitive short-term professional plans.
ย
โIโm just going to take things slowly,โ Parker said.
Parker finished his NFL career with 369 catches for 5,266 yards and 27 receiving TDs.
Former Giants RB Saquon Barkley reached agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million contract that could be worth up to $46.75M and includes $26M fully guaranteed at signing, per sources.
Barkley now beats the franchise tag number and has a maximum average-per-year salary of $15.833M, which would be second highest for a RB in NFL History.
One of the greatest players and men our game has ever seen:
- 13 seasons with the @Eagles
- Super Bowl LII Champion
- 7x Pro Bowls
- 6x First-team All-Pro
Congrats on an incredible career, @JasonKelce. ๐
