@TourSwingsTommy Feel from practicing lag putts on the putting green. Most people who struggle at lag putting either:
A) Never hit any practice lag putts
Or
B) Do not make a big enough backswing
Length of stroke dictates distance, not speed of stroke
@thwacknicklaus From experience of having access to unlimited putters, the only thing that has truly made me a better putter is finding one that agrees with my optics and working on the correct things to keep confidence high. Wish I would have switched less earlier in my career
@Fit_For_Golf Not disagreeing that back issues can arise from various causes. Just stating that when the lower body and pelvis is opening quickly and exploding upwards, while the upper body is crunching into extreme side bend, the lumbar spine is under immense stress it is not meant to handle
@Fit_For_Golf I don't think players back in the day were as concerned with distance either. Trevino was not trying to maximize his driving distance which probably helped his longevity. I do agree he was likely using less relative effort
@TourSwingsTommy I have a similar move as I take the club away. It's completely subconscious and wouldn't know that I did it if I never saw it on video. Do not know how it began or if it's just in my DNA. I assume it's the same Hayden. He's a great guy and a great player!
I created a coaching Instagram account while I'm rehabbing my leg. A place where I can share instructional content and give lessons. Posted my thoughts on early extension this morning. Follow if you like and let me know what you think!

@Daniel_Rapaport One of the most bush league things I've seen. Paying $5500 should guarantee the number of rounds and opportunity. Especially since there are no playoffs and ties advance. Only a small group of players would have had to come back
@ryanmouquegolf I think what is often misunderstood is that the ball is absorbing most of the energy of the putter and slows it down from impact and beyond. There is no need to keep "accelerating" the putter once the ball has left the face. You've transmitted the energy into the ball already.
@acaseofthegolf1@ahadwingolf Every year that I've been there, when the wind is off the left from the back tee, it seems like about a quarter of the players hit those grandstands lol
@RogerSteeleJr Little higher spin always for me (2600-2700avg). Fits with the shot I naturally see in my head. 1 more fairway per round can be a huge for scoring. Sub 3000 with your clubhead speed is just fine no need to try to get low 2000s
