Finally getting this editor to a point where I can, ya know, build some games. Built on top of MonoGame and already has lots of features and exports to multiple platforms. Heck Yeah Engine and Editor!

Even for solo devs that are programmers, the lift provided is substantial. You still benefit greatly from a software engineering background and you can focus on the truly creative aspect of game dev.
Do you want to build tools, or do you want to make games. There is no wrong answer, but some want to focus on the actual crafting of the game.
Added bullet pattern direct editing, drag and drop functionality to assign assets inside components, flow for creating new assets and currently support creating new bullet patterns. Upon creating a new bullet pattern you're dropped directly into the editor, and you can preview it directly in real-time with the fire/stop buttons at the top of the inspector.
What would you like to see out of a bullet pattern system?
A little more progress on the editor. Template game objects are hooked up and working, scene loading (sync/async), meta files to make asset management more flexible, a few UX related changes rolled in and about a million things remaining.
New Gum release is out! The Gum UI tool now runs natively on Mac and Linux, no more Wine. Also new: live preview in a real game window, Stride support, a search box in the Variables tab, and Slang shaders.

@MonoGameTeam I'm building a full editor on top of MonoGame. It's still very early and I hoped you be willing to boost this, as I need feedback from 2D devs on what features they would consider must-have.
The game already plays in the editor and it has full scene management.
@getplaytests@MonoGameTeam Great point! There will be UX and workflow testing as soon as a simple game can be built and exported. Probably a screen share situation, but it would be ideal to do it in person.
Calling all indie devs... programmers, artists, game and sound designer. What features would you like to see in a 2D game engine? It's still in early development and now is the time to add some fun features to the list.
