It just isn't funny.

Tons of men unapologetically love films such as Spirited Away, Ponyo, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Princess Mononoke, which all star women of all ages, and that's just with Ghibli.

Movies such as Alita Battle Angel, Alien, The Hunger Games series, Divergent, and Terminator also have fanbases that consist mostly of men.

And then there are the dudes who religiously watched shows like That's So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, Zoey 101, Victorious, iCarly, and other girl-centered coming of age series.

The issue here isn't stories about women. The issue is that your menstrual allegory doesn't sit well with the general public. Don't blame men for something they can't relate to.
