It’s sad that @HiltonHotels has decided to join @Marriott in the race to the bottom. Marriott has been garbage for years but now Hilton is taking the same intractable approach to basic customer service issues. Travel loyalty is dead

Almost two years since I was out of the country. Shocking. Frustrating. Spent half the year abroad for so many years. It’s tragic that Americans can’t get their act together enough to fix COVID here, then meaningfully help others abroad.
Why do elite restaurants use @tock exclusively for reservations? The payment system fails during times of high traffic. Awful service that I can't believe Michelin starred restaurants would use.
@nickkokonas@tock The phone era - that’s your comparison point? People have been going online 15+ years for lottery-like purchases. Disappointing is when you get the lucky straw but then the one handing it out pulls it back because of sub-par tech (and refuses to acknowledge tech issues).
@nickkokonas@WhatGotYouThere@tock The system says it specifically held the reservation for 10 mins. It then wouldn’t process multiple credit cards, which I entered within 1 minute of that window opening. You can’t blame demand when you say it’s reserved for checkout. That’s failure.
