Another #usmnt with the all PT games is young kids in ET are going to struggle to go to watch parties to get excited about their first world cup. I remember watching Packie Bonner & Ireland at a very young age at Euros & WC & falling in love with International soccer 🇮🇪
@FootyFilmzz Don't think Trinity deserves a yellow in that one. If it's on the field and she takes off with the ball it's a clever play and if you blast a free kick off someone it's not a yellow?
L’Equipe say that Allan Saint-Maximin has agreed to join MLS club Charlotte FC, if he completes this move it will be his TENTH club of his career, so far.
Charlotte's next game is at home to Atlanta United on Wednesday 23rd July and it could be a case of friends reunited, with Miggy Alniron playing for the opposition!

@Eyesandvibes Today yeah, two way and the athleticism get the edge for me with Reyna current form. Reyna gives you a dynamic option off the bench if we need the creativity & a goal.
Assuming the 13 returning #USMNT players, minus Ream & Roldan, are equal or better than they were in 2022, how does the rest of the roster compare?

Paraguay star Julio Enciso in tears as he exits the pitch tonight 25 minutes into their friendly against Nicaragua. The #USMNT plays Paraguay in their World Cup opener.
Enciso would be a huge loss for them.
🚨EXCL: Derby County reach agreement with Vancouver Whitecaps to sign Sebestian Berhalter. Price for 25yo midfielder £4.5M fixed. Personal terms in place on 3+1yr deal. Medical to be completed after World Cup. #dcfc#dcfcfans
@CharIieBennett I suspect he'll have a good season again focused on less minutes. The problem becomes if he has a good season & we're in UCL again how does he manage 27/28. That seems to be his kryptonite.
🚨 BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS: First Summer Signing Close!
According to Canal+ in France, Newcastle United and Reims have reached an agreement for the transfer of 20-year-old goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen! 🇫🇷🧤
Here are the details coming out of France:
💰 The Fee: Around €28.5 million (approx. £24.6m) including bonuses.
📝 The Contract: Jaouen has already agreed to personal terms on a four-year contract at St. James' Park.
⚔️ Beating the Competition: The Magpies have reportedly fought off massive interest from the likes of Chelsea and even Real Madrid to secure his signature.
This looks set to be our very first official signing of the summer window, and what a statement it is. Standing at 6ft 6in, Jaouen is regarded as one of the most talented young prospects in Europe and has been capped by France at all youth levels.
With Aaron Ramsdale's loan expiring, Jaouen will likely come straight in as our number two goalkeeper to push and compete with Nick Pope. At just 20 years old, this is a massive building block for the future.
MAGPIE METER RATING: 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛

@USSoccerColl@USMNTfanatics16 I'm curious about the revenue numbers, I know early on there were scholarships. I assumed it had a lot more to do with marketing & having a foot print in the landscape.
@ManagerTactical Clearly they are cursed because they changed the name from Football to Soccer in the US. If they give in and change the name to Soccer domestically they win the next 2 world cups. Man City SC!
It was quite an expensive endeavor I'm sure, I was hoping more clubs would follow suit.
We'll likely never know but I'm curious the why. Are they able to better leverage local clubs & just influence them without the massive investment?
NEW: From what I've heard, there are real doubts from many people in the youth game about the long-term viability of the Barca AZ project.
The mothership has been giving off clues that they will not renew it. Barca AZ's head scout and director have also agreed to jump ship now.
