Why would a Democrat ActBlue Donor register as a Republican in a Closed Primary state like Pennsylvania (one of 10 Closed Primary states)?

Primary Pivot is an organization that urged voters to vote against Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican Primary election.

They believe Trump is a threat to democracy and encouraged Democrats to switch their party affiliation in order to vote for a different Republican candidate, such as Nikki Haley, in a Closed Primary.

Primary Pivot's co-founder, Robert Schwartz, stated, "He is a loser, he's the weakest candidate on the Republican side."

He believed voting for Haley is the best way to stop Trump, despite the challenge of their mission.

Schwartz stated that they started with no money but raised $1 million, which they used to send mailers and text messages to over 1.1 million voters in 9 Swing States (PA).

Did Primary Pivot send text messages to the shooter?

ActBlue had the shooter's contact information from a donation he made to 'Progressive Turnout Project” on Biden’s Inauguration Day, Jan 20, 2021.  The project’s entire goal is to “rally Democrats to vote.”
