A few notes on the UK Emergency Alert system,used for the first time yesterday in Plymouth…

It ‘stayed on’ until we opened the cordon & was sent to phones in a defined area. Any phone that later entered the area was alerted, which explains why some got it later.

We’ve had feedback a small number didn’t receive the alert, which we’ll feedback as part of the debrief.

Some may have turned it off in the settings, and we know some people have turned it back on as a result of yesterday.
