ChatGPT

ChatGPT is for the people.

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

A new star enters the Chat.

Meet GPT-6 Astra.

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

We’re using dots to build better dots.

@rennsong, an engineer at OpenAI, uses her dot to gather feedback from social media and user reports, update a live tracker in ChatGPT Space, and investigate and fix bugs with Codex.

Try ChatGPT's Intelligent UI yourself: “Based on what you know about me, teach me something new. Show me step by step."

Messi asked ChatGPT to teach him a chess opening that matched his style. It suggested Goat Horns 🤘

• Edit right on the slide: Click to change text, update charts, and move or resize images and shapes.

To get started, ask ChatGPT to "create ChatGPT slides" from a conversation or a file you've shared. Present in ChatGPT, or export to PowerPoint or Google Slides.

A few big upgrades for Chrome users today! We’re bringing the power of computer use to anyone who uses Chrome.

First up: ChatGPT can now use your tabs in Chrome to make answers more useful and get things done for you.

If you’re in Chat, it can look across your open tabs and gather info.

If you’re in Work, ChatGPT can control your Chrome tabs to get things, like sending messages, filling out forms, or downloading files. It can even help you organize and group that pile of tabs you have open.

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

Try using ChatGPT in Chrome for tasks like…

“Compare the three couches I have open by dimensions, material, delivery time, and return policy.”

“Explain this article in plain English. What’s the main argument, and what evidence supports it?”

“Compare these pricing pages against our requirements. Which plan includes everything we need?”

“Use the details in this event brief to fill out the registration form, and stop before submitting.”

“Put the vendors in these tabs into my comparison sheet, with pricing, key features, and source links.”

“Look at all the tabs I have open and compare the contractor services. Then draft an email to the one that fits my home renovation.”

“Fill out the form form I have open in @chrome ahead of seeing my new dentist. Also, can you add the appointment to my work and personal calendar.”

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

At DevDay, we introduced ChatGPT Space: a new home for your team to collaborate with AI to get work done.

In Space, you can create living documents with ChatGPT and the people you work with. Turn a messy conversation into an organized plan, and invite a teammate to edit together or leave feedback in comments. Tag ChatGPT or your dot to make changes or help with next steps.

You can also ask ChatGPT to keep the page updated from your connected tools, so you can focus on the work—not updating the doc.

See how it works below and go to https://t.co/S5nTgzPkLq to get started.

Available on Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans on web and desktop.

This Week’s ChatGPT Feature Drop - Oct 9:

ChatGPT continues to get better every week. Here are some big ships and little ships from the last two weeks:

🚢
1/ GPT-6 and Intelligent UI: Now available to everyone in ChatGPT. The new model is great and it's extremely visual and interactive, making it easier to learn complex topics. You don't have to select anything for this to work. Just ask a question to ChatGPT and it's available to you.

2/ Finances for Free users: All of our Free and Go users in the US can connect ChatGPT to their financial accounts and ask questions. "What subscriptions am I paying for that I should cancel?", "Where would be best for me to cut back?". "Any charges that look off?"

3/ Voice with plugins: Voice mode in ChatGPT now works with plugins like email and calendar. Catch up on your inbox or check your schedule while you’re out for a walk or on a drive. Just ask tap the voice button and then "What emails have I forgot to respond to this week?"

🛥️
4/ Easier iteration on your writing drafts: We've made writing edits easier to scan in ChatGPT. When you ask for a revision on some writing, it's easier to see what changed.

5/ Document scanning on iOS: Scan multiple pages into a single PDF, right in the ChatGPT app. Open ChatGPT, hit the + button, "Camera", and select the scan option.

6/ Favoriting: If you’re shopping around and you see something you like you can now save it to Favorites and come back to it later.

7/ Flashcards: Upload a file (maybe some course notes, or a practice exam) and just ask ChatGPT to create flashcards for you to help you learn the material. Great way to practice!

My dot just got me a $1.4k refund

I connected dot to my email, asked it to review it, and it found an 8h+ flight delay that qualified for reimbursement

All I did was approve it to submit a case

Prompt below

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

And finally, a bunch of small fixes that you’ve been asking for:

• Faster browsing, smoother scrolling
• Fewer unnecessary notifications
• Cleaner code blocks and attachments
• Easier Outlook setup
• Clearer plans and easier retries
• More reliable Enterprise access on web and voice

Fresh updates for dots.

First up: you can now create your dot straight from your phone in the ChatGPT app on iOS and Android.

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

Delegate work in Codex to your dot.

Your dot can now start work in Codex and follow up on existing threads, drawing on your ChatGPT conversations, Codex threads, and automations. It’s also better at deciding when to keep a thread going or start fresh.

Your dot can also review and edit Scheduled Tasks in ChatGPT Work, too. Ask what’s scheduled or update a recurring task as plans change.

[Ethan Bloch @ebloch]

This is pretty insane.

I had ChatGPT audit all my transactions.

It spent almost an hour, reviewed 14k transactions, and improved 700 categories!

I could never do this by hand.

This is on top of categorization ChatGPT and Plaid already do in the background for all your transactions.

The implication is important: if you want to keep a budget or track your spending you no longer need to do manual work!

Getting near perfect transaction categorization has been an unsolved problem since Quicken launched in 1984.

The prompt you can use is in the screenshot.

And if you’re still doing this stuff by hand, and don’t enjoy it, you should get set up with Finances in ChatGPT.

I am absolutely blown away by this in GPT 6 …. Just when you think it can’t get better #gpt6

A few unexpected cool use-cases unlocked by ChatGPT's new intelligent UI

1. You can customize how responses look like

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

GPT‑6 with Intelligent UI starts rolling out globally to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers today in the Chat tab.

Starting tomorrow, the rollout expands to Free and Go tiers.

GPT‑6 in ChatGPT is powered by GPT‑6 Sol for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers, and GPT‑6 Luna for Free and Go tiers. https://t.co/q5WXLl66hw

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

ChatGPT just got a lot more visual—introducing Intelligent UI.

Intelligent UI allows ChatGPT to answer quickly with fully interactive user interfaces that make everyday answers more visual.

It makes learning complex topics easier, and it quickly creates tools to solve a task right in the moment.

Oh, and also...GPT-6 is coming to ChatGPT. For everyone.

[ChatGPT @ChatGPT]

With Intelligent UI, you can ask things like:

- Break down the design of a bicycle
- Plan a dinner for me
- Build me a wardrobe
- Split a dinner bill based on my receipt

You'll get visual outputs that are easier to understand, and just more enjoyable to work with.
