At approx. 9:20pm last night, CCFD was dispatched to Kings Ferry to provide mutual aid to Bryan County Fire for reports of three missing kayakers. A unified command was established with CCFD and CCPD. It was confirmed that the kayakers had safely returned home. #chathamcountyfire

12:00pm, CCFD was dispatched to 4700 US Hwy. 80 for a vehicle fire. BC302, DC301, E304, E314, SAFETY301, SQ308, T302 responded. Arriving crews encountered visible smoke and flames. Quick attack mitigated spread. No injuries. #chathamcountyfire

Active Shooter Incident Management training continues. CCFD personnel are training alongside law enforcement, fire personnel, emergency managers, and 911 dispatchers from across the Southeast as they work realistic active shooter scenarios, strengthening coordination and training

HAPPENING NOW: CCFD was dispatched to the 200 block of Larchmont Dr. for a residential fire. SF301, Sq313, and Tr307 on scene with Georgia Power working to mitigate an electrical emergency. #chathamcountyfire

On 7/7/26, CCFD was dispatched to the 5600 block of Ogeechee Rd. for a structure fire. This the coordinated response and fire suppression efforts.
