RFU stands firm on the new tackle law but faces a vote of no confidence as clubs join forces to call for an SGM.

The resolution needed the support of 100 clubs. There were 208 when this piece went to print last night. The number now stands at 246.

The RFU have confirmed that tackle height will be lowered in the community game from July 2023.

This was voted for by the RFU Council with the intention of improving player safety.

Tackle height is being set at the waist or below.
