Honoured to receive a ceremonial welcome at Government House in Auckland. The traditional Māori pōwhiri was a moving reflection of New Zealand’s rich heritage and traditions.

The Indian community in New Zealand is one of the strongest pillars of our friendship. Addressing them in Auckland was a memorable experience.
Here are some more glimpses from the community programme…
My gratitude to PM Luxon, the Government and people of New Zealand for the exceptional warmth during this fruitful visit.
This visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in four decades, has opened an important new chapter in our relations. Our decision to elevate ties to a Strategic Partnership, the progress on trade and investment and the renewed momentum in defence, education, culture, sports and people-to-people exchanges reflect the growing depth of our friendship.

At the India-New Zealand business event in Auckland, which I attended with PM Luxon, I told business leaders:
India is not only a market.
India is a launchpad for global growth.
Together, let us take this economic partnership to new heights!

Glad that my friend Prime Minister Christopher Luxon joined the community programme in Auckland. His presence reflects the warmth he has for India and the Indian community.

Held extensive and fruitful talks with PM Luxon in Auckland this morning. His own visit to India last year energised our bilateral partnership and my visit today, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 4 decades, has added further momentum to the India-New Zealand friendship. We have decided to elevate our ties to a Strategic Partnership. We will move forward across every sector with clear goals and concrete outcomes.

PM @narendramodi participated in the India-New Zealand Business Event in Auckland with PM @chrisluxonmp. He highlighted India's emergence as a global growth engine and discussed opportunities in sectors such as technology, talent mobility, services, food processing, FinTech, space and infrastructure.
Sports have always been a strong bridge between India and New Zealand. This year, we are also marking a century of vibrant sporting ties.
In Auckland, PM Luxon and I attended a Sporting Showcase, where we saw a range of cutting-edge sporting innovations. It was wonderful to see how technology and creativity are shaping the future of sports while bringing our two nations even closer.

The love and affection of the New Zealand's Indian community touched me deeply. They have waited four decades for the visit of an Indian Prime Minister and their extraordinary enthusiasm and warmth were visible today. Their bond with India remains unwavering.
A good interaction with members of Indian diaspora in Oman this morning.
Their enthusiasm in strengthening India - Oman relations was palpable. Appreciated their many contributions to the society as well as to 🇮🇳 🇴🇲 partnership.
Met Mr. Angus Taylor, Leader of the Opposition of Australia. We had an engaging conversation on the growing strength of India-Australia ties and the many opportunities ahead. I deeply value the warmth and broad support that our partnership enjoys across Australia.

Delighted to witness young sporting talent in action at the MCG. Watching children play cricket, Kabaddi and Australian rules football was a wonderful reminder that sport has a unique ability to connect people.
India and Australia share a deep sporting bond. As both our nations prepare to host major global sporting events in the years ahead, there is immense potential to deepen cooperation in sports, youth engagement, infrastructure and talent development.
Reached Auckland a short while ago. Thankful to Prime Minister Luxon for the welcome at the airport.
This visit is historic, being the first Prime Ministerial visit to New Zealand in four decades. I look forward to holding talks with Prime Minister Luxon and discussing the complete range of the India-NZ friendship. I will also be addressing a community programme tomorrow in Auckland.
