Praying & wishing 77th Birthday to dear Amay Suu
All our thoughts, prayers & best wishes are with people's leader, H.E Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of Myanmar & NLD Chair who turned 77 years today under bloodstained hands of genocidal military generals in Myanmar
Despite the dangers of protests, #Myanmar citizens across nation, from civilians to #ethnic armed groups like #KNLA@knuhq, commemorated detained #AungSanSuuKyi's 77th birthday today. Some even hung up public banners in Pyin Oo Lwin, a known army location #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
Today I am calling for urgent action by Member States of the UN in light of the findings of my special report, released today: "Losing a generation: how the military junta is devastating Myanmar's children and undermining Myanmar's future".

Myanmar’s army is failing to hold ground and only inflaming further anger while People’s forces grow in strength and ability. Interesting article raises the prospect of defeat for the junta - itself a sign of the shift in thinking. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar https://t.co/uptKtzQcHD
I have just been made aware that someone threw a shoe at Hun Sen while he's in the US and can't stop thinking about that Cambodian activist who was hunted down in Thailand for throwing a shoe at a CPP banner...

We are very grateful towards our CDM heroes. Because of them, SAC terrorists couldn’t fully control the country. We will fight till we win.

The Myanmar junta cheers Russia's brutal attack on the people of Ukraine while using Russian weapons to attack the people of Myanmar. Birds of a feather really DO fly together. The world must stand with the people of Ukraine AND the people of Myanmar with words AND action.
I am appalled by the daily news reaching us from #Myanmar. Violence by the military has to stop. 🇲🇲 needs to return to peace & democracy. Genuine dialogue is necessary. Had a good exchange on this with NUG’s @zinmaraung1976 . 🇩🇪 strongly supports efforts by ASEAN & UN SESG Heyzer
Min Aung Hlaing must immediately halt the air and ground attacks that junta forces have unleashed on Loikaw, Karenni State, lift the blockade of those seeking to escape and allow access for those seeking to provide aid and shelter. I urge UN member states to join this call.
Here is a translation of my Tweet calling for UN Security Council action to cut the Myanmar junta's access to revenue and weapons while dramatically increasing aid to the people of Myanmar.
