Saying the climate wars are over and that they will take strong responsible action on climate change yet pushing to open up new fossil fuel projects... The government needs to be honest with Australians - where does your priorities lie @AlboMP ?
100 days from #Australia's new Minister for Climate Change @Bowenchris has been fantastic
But this excellent work is being undermined by Resource Minister @MadeleineMHKing's push to open new fossil fuel projects in Oz
Which way will Australia go @AlboMP? #NoNewFossilFuels@hrw

When Imogen arrived at ‘Swickers', she was unable to walk. Over an hour, she was hit, kicked, pushed and ultimately, killed. As other pigs stopped to check on her, they were also beaten. These intelligent animals showed empathy, even when they were at their most vulnerable.
We inspected 44 Queensland piggeries with a drone over a 10 month period and we found exposed pig carcasses at 19 of them - dead pigs left to rot, completely uncovered, or placed into mass, open graves.

Well done to #FarmTransparencyProject for bringing this challenge. While the outcome is unfortunate - it does not provide a final outcome on whether preventing media from publishing horrific animal cruelty in NSW is unconstitutional.

Queensland's shark cull program continues to target sharks and catch whales and other marine life - meanwhile offering little to no protection to swimmers. It's time for an evidence based approach - rather than political posturing #ThisIsQueensland#NetsOutNow#qldpol
🐋 Today is #WorldOceansDay. We are so lucky to have some of the most incredible coastline here in Queensland, and it's up to all of us to protect our oceans and all marine life.

The Animal Care and Protection Amendment Bill 2022 is open for public submissions until 1 June 2022. We encourage you to have your say on Queensland's animal protection laws. #animalwelfare#qldpol https://t.co/b2bnSxT0Gx
@AnnastaciaMP While there are some overdue amendments here that will benefit some animals, this really is a missed opportunity to put in place real reforms that keep pace with community expectation and animal welfare science.
