Know about the HEIs of India!
Established in 2008, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) engages in cutting-edge research addressing global challenges and offering a holistic approach to engineering education.
Situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River and spread over a sprawling 400-acre, @iitgn provides an environment where learning transcends traditional boundaries. The institute has earned the distinction of being India’s first 5-star GRIHA LD (Green) campus.
With the Institute’s continued emphasis on outreach activities, NEEV, Nyasa, and the Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) have fostered meaningful collaborations within the community, promoting education and empowerment through various initiatives and programs.
IITGN’s faculty members are distinguished educators and recipients of prestigious awards such as the National Teachers’ Award and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize. A key feature of IITGN is its commitment to providing global exposure to its students and faculty. UG students and PhD scholars have been benefitting from international experiences through dynamic student and faculty exchange programs across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Additionally, with 10-15% of visiting faculty coming from around the world, the institute offers a truly global learning environment.
IITGN campus has state-of-the-art research facilities and infrastructure, including the Maker Bhavan, Central Instrumentation Facility, PARAM Ananta Supercomputing Facility, etc. The institute provides a robust platform for industry engagement through its Research Park and the IIT Gandhinagar Innovation Entrepreneurship Center (IIEC), offering mentorship and support to budding entrepreneurs. The Research Park acts as a hub for diverse companies, facilitating fruitful collaborations and nurturing successful startups.
