Everyone can’t be pleased so let’s think in raw numbers here. Do you want to please the very few trans athletes or the women?

@BL_DAEWN @BigDinoSpumoni @leto_hariz @meloniklol We can’t please everyone. I prioritize women because women have no alternative category. Trans athletes can still compete in open/men’s categories. Not protecting women’s sport just makes it meaningless, and that means less funding and interest.

But regardless, my point is:
Sports rules exist to protect fair competition, not to guarantee careers or resolve social debates.

You’re so obsessed with accommodating trans athletes while also downplaying the impact on women who depend on protected categories to compete at a high level. They have no other choice.

Letting trans compete in open/men’s categories isn’t a punishment, it’s just keeping women’s categories doing what they were designed to do.

@BL_DAEWN @BigDinoSpumoni @leto_hariz @meloniklol True, most sports don’t have an open class. But some already do, like motorsports, sailing, shooting, and chess. And just because something isn’t common today doesn’t mean it can’t be introduced.
A protected women’s category plus an open category seems like a fair solution.

@BL_DAEWN @BigDinoSpumoni @leto_hariz @meloniklol Oh yeah I missed that. Well in sports it is common to have a league for women, and an open class. So let the trans men compete in the open class just like they want to, since they don't identify as a woman anyways.
