My Visit to Western Academy, Umueze-Anam
In continuation of my support for educational facilities, yesterday, Friday the 13th, I visited a school in a rural community, Western Academy, Umueze Anam, in Anambra West. The school, which commenced about three years ago, currently uses local church facilities as classrooms. They welcomed me warmly and shared their dreams and ambitions.
During the visit, and in support of efforts to improve learning facilities, I donated ₦10 million towards the school’s planned infrastructure development, covering both its primary and secondary arms. My hope is that this contribution will help create a better environment for teaching and learning, and enable the students to thrive.
I encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, reminding them that education opens the door to limitless opportunities. With hard work and determination, they can compete with anyone, anywhere, and go on to become successful in life.
Reflecting on my own journey, I shared that part of my primary education was at St. Augustine Primary School, Umuoba Anam. I urged the students not to be limited by their environment, but to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their dreams. Greatness can come from anywhere when opportunity is combined with determination.
With students like those I met at Western Academy, my faith is renewed in a New Nigeria that is POssible. -PO
Read and Repost this to fully understand what's going on !!!
The authorities are looking for sources to digress from the main issue at hand and they have started by lying against students...
#UnnMedicalstudents#Stopspreadingfalseinformation
Dr Aaron Agbo continues to use his public platform to spread malicious lies. This is reckless, dishonest, and deliberately misleading. Twisting a simple welfare issue into baseless accusations against medical students is unacceptable.
And all this is said to distract us from the major issue.
FINAL YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS ARE BEING FORCED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA YEAR OF SCHOOL FEES!!!!!
We have fulfilled every financial obligation to the University

"Living in the same room" ... Someone's best father lying boldly on Facebook.
How did he MANAGE TO BECOME THE SAID DIRECTOR OF HOUSING WHEN HE DOESN'T KNOW THE CORRECT PATTERN OF GENDER DISTRIBUTION ACROSS OUR HOSTEL???
THIS IS FALSE!!‼️
MALE AND FEMALE DON'T COHABIT
THREAD: On 24th February, following a peaceful protest by students of the Faculty of Medical and Dental Sciences representatives of the students met with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to discuss longstanding grievances affecting our welfare and training
@thecableng We were mandated to pay a 7th year school fees(which was increased from 84k to 198k) for a six year course. We've stayed up to 7 years because of strike and covid 19 which is not our fault.
Amongst other things.
@hothey007@ThatCruiseMedic Pure evil !
They'll go the extra mile to fulfill their selfishness. Once one school has scammed their students, other schools want to emulate and steal from their students as well !!
Asuu goes on strike medical students are delayed—pay extra school fees
NAMDA goes on strike medical students are delayed— pay extra school fees
MDCAN goes on strike medical students are delayed— pay extra school fees
NMA goes on strike, medical students are delayed— pay extra school fees
NARD goes on strike, medical students are delayed— pay extra school fees
JOHESU goes on strike, medical students are delayed— spay extra school fees.
Now tell me how are medical students responsible for these strike actions?
Why should they be the one paying the price for government failure?
UNN management shouldn't abuse administrative power.
Medical students should not be financially penalised for schools inefficiency.
On admission you told them the duration of their course was for 6 years, they fulfilled their obligations by passing exams however you breached the contract by delay in the academic calendar and now you want them to pay a 7th session school fees for a 6 session course?
This is an unjust enrichment and misuse of administrative power.
UNN, you can do better.
