[Cheechee @Cheecheeforhui]

I’m writing this post because this 2-day concert has become a core memory for me as a new Uni.

Seeing how happy they were and how each of them glowed while performing, I genuinely felt that Pentagon has become a precious group of people whom I want to protect.

I honestly thought that it would take me years before I can fully embrace Pentagon but here I am.

Just as Jinho promised to protect Pentagon & Universe, I promise to do the same and support them until they achieve their dreams as a group and as individual artists.

I don’t easily make promises but I know that I can keep this one. That’s how much I believe in each member, their talents, their music, and their dreams. I also have an enormous respect for Pentagon’s courage, hard work, and grit all these years. They deserve all the happiness in the world.

“We looked at each other and we made a promise
Let's be together forever, until the end of the universe
Let's go at our own pace”

Pentagon’s world/path is different from mine. As I journey with them, I’ll also keep working hard on this side of the world to achieve my own dreams.

They don’t even know that I exist & they won’t even get to read this but I‘m still writing this because I don’t want to forget. I’m rooting for you and I’m proud of you, Pentagon! Always. :)

[New Content] Clip: Hui singing ‘Coming of Age Story’ (0:45 mark)

Hui: It was a season when I had a lot of worries. ‘What kind of music should I do?’ Eventually, I got rid of a lot of things. I just wanted to show my pure self. The response was good. Instead of trying to look cool or look good, I’ll just show the purest sides of me. That’s how I felt.

2:53 Grumpy Jinho
3:00 Jinho promoting his album & musical
5:46 Song choice introduction
7:54 Jinho & Ken's performance
13:00 Comments from hosts & artists

👤: When The Blue first came out, this kind of performance was what the public loved. It feels like they have been in sync for years.

👤: I paid close attention during rehearsal. I think they were holding back.
👤: They did not go all out in the rehearsal? Maybe about 50 percent?
👤: Yes. I don't want to go up after them.

👤: Their voices were different.
👤: On stage, his voice becomes masculine.
👤: It was an unexpected side of him.

14:22 Comments from The Blue

👤: They're just on another level. I thought, "Without at least that level of skill, you can't be an idol." I even wondered if we could pull off the arrangement at all. I doubt we can pull it off. Doing that, it felt like we might collapse from high blood pressure.

15:54 Results

👤: It's a tie! Both teams take the first win with a score of 375. It's amazing that this kind of tie happens only about once a year.

19:41 Soda Pop (This wasn't included in the episode uploaded by Viki so I just downloaded this clip from the YouTube channel of KBS)

Congratulations, Jinho & Ken! 🥰

[Thread] This is a working compilation for Pentagon’s cuts in Immortal Songs through the years :)

I also made a playlist (https://t.co/3ig0ECBghv) for the videos so that it’s easier to rewatch :) I’ll only post one episode per day so that I won’t flood the timeline. :) I hope we’ll see them again on this show soon! :)

1 - Immortal Songs Ep. 373 - 374 (2018): https://t.co/fGejnCEJFB

Jung Jae-hyung: Hui, how does it feel to get invited?

Hui: Senior artists with incredible talents visit the show. So, I worried a lot about preparing for our performance. The members watch Immortal Songs often. Yeoone watches it often. He is a big fan. He said there must be a part where the audience can sing and a fun ad-lib at the end. There are rules like this. We kept them in mind.

[WOOSEOK] King of Masked Singers 2025 Ep. 482 Eng Sub

0:45 Round 1: “사랑합니다 / I Love You” by Tim
8:28 Wooseok’s special talent: Dooly dance
12:25 Solo performance: “외톨이야 / I’m A Loner” by CNBLUE

16:00 Wooseok’s intro: PENTAGON’s giant main rapper. Romantic and sentimental. A charming baritone voice. His delicate and melodious singing rap! Presenting a wide range of musical spectrum. He can even write songs and lyrics. He has perfectly transformed into a soloist! The all-rounder who keeps getting better, Wooseok of PENTAGON!

16:44 Wooseok’s height: I couldn’t wear shoes that would make me look taller. There’s a member in the group who’s shorter than me. That member had to shorten his pants after buying them. The part that was cut off was sewed onto my pants to make them longer. 😂

18:01 Wooseok’s experience as a soloist & his reason for joining the show: When I was with the members, I had many people to rely on. It was always a relief to be able to talk to them. But now, the responsibility falls only on me, and I must stay busier to make things work. I was anxious at first and scared. I decided to sing on The King of Masked Singers to record how unstable and nervous I am so that I could watch it for years to come and relieve these emotions. After 25, 26 years, I’ll be proud to see this once I’ve improved. You should know I practiced a lot for this show. 🥹

Host: Wooseok is not only pure but also passionate.

18:56 Wooseok’s wish for this year: First of all, I want to perform as much as possible. Also, I hope many of you can enjoy and feel what I’m trying to say from the heart with the album that’ll soon be released. My motto and value is to live every day to the fullest. I’d like to live to the fullest.

You’re doing well, Wooseok! 🤍 We’re proud of youuu 🥰

[Thread] I compiled the King of Mask Singer cuts of Pentagon from 2018-2022 :) I thought of posting this because there might be Unis who want to watch it again or new Unis who haven’t seen these yet :)

I uploaded the clips on Dailymotion so that it’s easier to rewatch :) I was thinking of posting the full cuts here but I might get suspended 😅

[Hui] King of Mask Singer 2018 Part 1/3 - “Trouble Maker” by Trouble Maker

Kai: Among the male idol singers who came out on our program, he’s the best. His rhythm and tune were perfect. He’s confident like most of idol singers. He’s good at all three parts and the stage was faultless.

Young Seok: Crane Guy’s voice is sharp. It’s sharp like Cheongyang chili peppers. His voice is sharp and spicy. It comes in sharply that your ears burn. It felt very pungent when I heard his voice, but it made me want to hear his voice more. It’s addictive too.

[JINHO] King of Masked Singers 2024 Ep. 237 (Final Match) Eng Sub

00:15 Panelists’ comments

Kim Sung-joo: Luna, you are someone who loves the charms of Carp Bread District’s voice. Who will take the throne?

Luna of f(x): Both masked singers had incredible techniques. But to be completely honest, I was absorbed in the song without any thoughts when I watched Carp Bread District’s performance. It was the best.

Kim Sung-joo: I think the most dependable supporter of Carp Bread District is Namjoo.

Ko Young Bae: I think Carp Bread District is Namjoo’s son. She kept crying. Whenever Carp Bread District said something, she was amazed.

Namjoo: I am way too absorbed in Carp Bread District. Waiting to see if he will take the throne or not is too painful. While watching Carp Bread District’s performance, I could just picture how much effort he put into singing until this day. So, I felt touched when I watched his performance of “Sorry”. That was why I shed tears.

Choi Youngjae: Both of them are very combative. Their performances were so intense. When I watched Carp Bread District perform, I could tell he was determined. He was so full of energy.

Yoo Yong Seok: I give my hand to the masked queen. But in my heart, I give it up to Carp Bread District.

04:54 Final results: 44 votes for Jinho and 55 votes for the reigning masked queen

05:59 Revealing Jinho’s identity

Kim Sung-joo: From PENTAGON, the idol group, to CREZL from Phantom Singer 4. He’s a singer who surpasses the limit of genres. It’s Jinho.

Captions: The lead vocalist of PENTAGON, the all-round group. He took over the musical industry with his solid skills. Then he transformed into a member of CREZL on Phantom Singer 4. For the first time, an idol singer placed 3rd on the show. He proved his wide range of music. The all-round vocalist with no limits, Jinho.

Kim Sung-joo: For the first time as an idol singer currently in the field, he advanced to the finals of Phantom Singer. He placed third in the end.

Jinho: I unexpectedly went up to the finals last year which was surprising and also delightful.

07:19 Jinho as a member of PENTAGON & CREZL

Kim Sung-joo: He is part of the group called CREZL and he’s also active as a member of PENTAGON.

Jinho: When I work with PENTAGON members, I usually warm up my body first. I warm up my body a little. And when I work with the CREZL members, I warm up my voice first. I think that’s kind of fun. Since the two teams are so different, I feel like I have another personality.

07:33 Interview: Jinho’s determination

Kim Sung-joo: Have you studied vocal music in the past?

Jinho: No, it’s been around a year and six months. I want to try various things because I love to see myself improve. I’m excitedly expecting that I’ll be closer to completing myself when I get a little older. I’m living my life diligently for it.

Kim Sung-joo: How do you feel about advancing to the Final Match?

Jinho: First off, I felt really good that I got to step on the threshold of the throne like this. Since I couldn’t make it to the throne today, I’ll join the show again, give three more performances, and seize the throne.

08:20 Namjoo’s support

Namjoo: I met him when we were in a musical. He helped me with vocal training. He’s really a top instructor. He studies music and I can just feel his sincerity. The throne is just a throne. It can’t prove how good he is. I’d like him to continue making music with sincerity like now. You have my support. (Namjoo’s disclaimer: We’re not dating. lol)

Kim Sung-joo: He warmed our hearts with his soft and powerful voice today. This was Jinho.

(I don’t even know where to begin. I’m just beyond proud of Jinho. I hope that more people will discover how insanely talented Jinho is and how listening to him sing is like free therapy for tired souls. Let’s go Jinho!!!)

For Unis who missed Kino’s interview yesterday, Arirang Radio uploaded it this afternoon :) I chose 3 highlights for this clip :)

00:15 Kino sharing how he and NAKED already have plans for the next 3 years and he specifically mentioned 2025. Samuel asked him how many albums is Kino planning to release from now on and Kino said a lot!

01:00 Kino sharing how grateful he is for the Unis who continue to look at him with unchanging eyes esp. during this period of transition from doing group activities to solo activities

01:58 Samuel asking Kino to come back to this radio show in the future with his new album. Kino then asked him if he can come back in March or April! :)

Random note: I didn’t realize that the host was Samuel Seo. Kino met him during Episode 5 of Busking on The Bus. Kino shared how he’s a big fan of Samuel and they also performed one song together. I’ll share the link again if you want to rewatch it too :)

38 - [Busking on the Bus Ep. 5] Kino as a fan of Seo Samuel

Kino: Do you remember talking to me on the phone?

Seo Samuel: *seems clueless*

Kino: Hui hyung, our team member, did a broadcast with him. He talked to me on the phone when we were shooting at the dorm. “I’m a real fan! I really like ‘Kafka’!” My members asked me to sing so I sang it excitedly. But he said, “What song is that?” 😂

Seo Samuel: During the call there was a traffic jam

PENTAGON SCHEDULE 2024 WORKING COMPILATION

Hello! I created this Google Doc as my attempt to compile PENTAGON’s upcoming engagements. I’m not yet sure how long I can do this but I’ll update this file as long as I can :) If there’s a Uni who wants to design a promo material using the content here (like what Cube Itinerary does), please feel free to use this file :)

Disclaimer: I’m a working Uni and I’m doing this during my free time. So, if I miss a schedule, please be understanding. :) I support all 9 members and if I miss a member’s schedule, it doesn’t mean I’m an anti haha :) I actually made this for myself but I just thought that this can also be useful to other working Unis so I decided to share this :)

[Thread] I watched this video yesterday & it helped me to be familiar with the names, faces, & stories of other Pentagon members. I started w/ Hui but I’ll make an effort to get to know PTG. Not sure how far/deep I can go (it’s hard to be a multi-stan lol) but I’ll reallyyy try😅

[Cheechee @Cheecheeforhui]

148 - 🐿️: Every dorm feels so different. Mine is very quiet.
👤 (manager): They say everyone is quiet only when Jinho hyung is there. “Jinho hyung is sleeping. Shut up!”
🐿️: Because I gotta sleep.
👤: So if Yeoone is loud as he comes in, then Wooseok goes “Shhh… Jinho hyung is here!”

I suddenly remembered this clip from their IG live last year 😂 - https://t.co/CB8cRRiGWe

Yanan as Lilun Compilation (Fangs of Fortune)

Google Drive: https://t.co/X2KoKgWeix

MEGA: https://t.co/T98eQMkEUl

I was ugly crying while watching Yanan’s last two episodes. I’ve watched it five times already but I still cry every time. I made this compilation because I’m just so proud of Yanan. I hope that those who discovered Yanan through FoF will continue to support and shower him with love.

This is a 23.4 GB file and it’s 3 hours long :) But please continue watching the show on iQIYI 😬 I’ll keep my subscription to rewatch FoF until Yanan’s next drama gets released 😉

Note for the Google Drive file: If you see the prompt saying that the number of allowed playbacks has been exceeded, you can either download the file or follow this guide (https://t.co/4KfaartNI9) to make a copy of the file into your own Google Drive. I’ll delete the file in 3 weeks bec. I don’t want to get in trouble 🥶 If you still want to access the file, you can just DM me :)

I’ve just finished watching the first 3 episodes of Fangs of Fortune! I ended up recording all of Yanan’s scenes but I won’t post the compilation to avoid spoilers 😬 I’ll just share it after the final episode! When Yanan first appeared on the screen, I cheered and I felt all sorts of emotions. I missed Yanan and I was so happy to see him. I can’t believe I’m rooting for a villain 😂 Congratulations, Yanan!!! You’ve worked hard and we’re proud of you! 🤍 Go, Li Lun!

P.S. Even if you see clips on Twitter, please go and watch the full episodes because the impact will be different and it’ll be more fun! :)

@kidjacey I hope this will somehow reach all those who jumped on the hate train 🙁

[Cheechee @Cheecheeforhui]

This year, Hui participated as a guest judge/mentor in 3 idol programs: MAKEMATE1, PROJECT 7, & Starlight Boys. Because Hui joined Boys Planet, Hui can genuinely empathize with the trainees.

0:00 (PROJECT 7) Hui to BAE173 members: You know I auditioned last year, right? Watching you perform, watching you dance until your bodies break… It was so cool. It was incredible. So cool. I was so touched. Honestly, we’re peers, and we’re not that different in age. I hope your hard work pays off and you make it soon.

0:41 (MAKEMATE1) Hui to Group A trainees who lost: What I felt during the contest was that, and I should tell this to my friends later on, is that losing isn’t just about losing and winning isn’t just about winning. That’s what strongly hit me. I’ve seen how things could lead to a better result. That’s why I hope the sadness ends today.

1:02 (PROJECT 7) Lee Junseon to Hui: When Hui-nim said that I have a special charm, it gave me confidence. It gave me the faith to approach my next performance with confidence.

1:27 Hui to Shao Zi Heng (trainee for 4 1/2 years who almost debuted)

1:47 Hui recognizing how earnest Lee Junhyuk (MIRAE) is

2:20 Hui and Lee Daeul (Boys Planet trainee)

🦫: Actually, I’ve always been curious about how he’s doing lately. I’m about to cry, really.
🦫: We participated in a talent show together. The group living period for that show was very long. So, we lived in the same room. We talked a lot.
👤: He used to be my brother, but now he’s my teacher. In my eyes, he’s always been a mentor and friend to me. Back in Boys Planet, I learned a lot from him. He was a teacher who benefited me greatly.
🦫(after Daeul received harsh feedback): Since you’ve already started this challenge after going through the last show, those difficult experiences must have given you something to reflect on. I hope you pour everything into this and show us how you will grow.

I don’t understand why Hui is at the receiving end of all this hate. They could’ve called out the producers who designed the program and the mission, draft a statement, do a hashtag event, do a boycott or whatever. Instead, they chose to conveniently paint Hui as the villain 🤷‍♀️

I hope that Hui is okay. I’m relieved that even non-fans are defending Hui because they can see how ridiculously unreasonable this is.

[Cheechee @Cheecheeforhui]

@Framagic11 My heart sank when I read those hate tweets. 🙁 Hui is too precious and my only wish is for him to not get hurt anymore. He’s been through so much. 🥺
