@LauraLoomer@SouthwestAir I know who this is and I find this funny because that Man U see wearing this, his father is a war veteran for the US military and retired police officer for the SFPD!!I would fact check before you start sayin shit like this!!
This one is for Hip Hop.
I felt heavily inspired by the lineage of Hip Hop and how it contributes to who I am today. This is my first self choreographed performance and one of the most important things I wanted to highlight was my connection to black women through Hip Hop. With the help of hair artist Malcom Marquez, we were able to make this symbolic art performance come to life in just a short week.
A special s/o to some of my inspirations; the incredible @solangeknowles @carlota_guerrero and @mfdoom (rip)
A special s/o to my stylist @sam__woolf for nailing this look and translating my take on hip hop through clothing !
This is my take on the future of Hip Hop. This is blackness. This is luxury. This is history.
Thank you to the @colbertlateshow team for having us on your show! And thank you to my true fans for always showing up to every performance and sharing my music 🐊 SWAMP4L
@LanceNauer stars for Chrisman in 20-14 Wagon Wheel win. His 36-yard run set up Declan Watson’s winning 1-yard TD run. A thriller from the opening kickoff. Lance is a great representative of the Bears and his community
Dear Hip Hop,
I remember the first time I met you.
As a young man growing up in Harlem in Espanard Gardens.
Seeing B-Boys carrying boomboxes and hearing your sound for the first time.
You were a part of my childhood.
We grew up together.
I was born three years before you.
And since the day that we met, you changed my life.
You gave me the audacity to dream and imagine a reality that didn’t exist.
You made me feel like I mattered.
You let me know that with you, I could change the world.
I didn’t understand the meaning of culture until I met you.
You have been there through my ups and downs, my tragedies and triumphs.
You saved my life.
You gave me an opportunity with Andre Harrell and Uptown Records.
You gave birth to Bad Boy.
You gave birth to Puff Daddy, P. DIDDY, DIDDY.
And you led me to LOVE.
You gave me the chance to be an executive.
You gave me the chance to be a designer.
You gave me the chance to be a media mogul.
You gave me the chance to be a philanthropist.
You have been my therapist, my BFF, my ride or die.
You are the most powerful art form in the world.
There is no me without you.
Today we celebrate you for everything you mean to us.
For giving us a voice when nobody would listen.
For giving us light where there was no hope.
For all who came before me and all that will come after me.
Happy Birthday.
Hip Hop I will always love you.
