🎉 Congrats to former @D2SAAC rep Davaris Cheeks!
Today, he was appointed to the NCAA Board of Governors as DII's graduated student-athlete.
He fills the role previously occupied by Mads McKenna who served four years on the board following three years on #D2SAAC.

Walked alongside D1 and D3 SAAC representatives and lifted the voices of over 500,000 NCAA student-athletes.
We had direct conversations with congressional leaders and advocated for protections around non-employment status and protections around NIL.
We spent time celebrating our teammate's significant achievement of becoming the head of the diversity center!

@JakeMunkwitz Appreciate you Coach Munk! Will never forget the day I got pulled out of class to talk to you and Coach Rosie about CSP! The rest is history #GB4L
If you have a minute… feel free to read a short essay from my senior year of high school. It’s always great to pause and see how far you’ve come. Also, follow my motivational page! @DavarisCheeks

We are so proud of the DII administrators and @D2SAAC student-athletes who represented us in various NCAA education sessions last week.
