@spiralrace@Patbacknitro I mean he was a horrible person with no respect for almost anyone, was fine with genocide, and murdered people who considered him a frien-- yeah, OK, I liked Billy.
But he's awful, you must admit.
@Patbacknitro The show having Hughie just *be* too much like Lenny instead of hinging on something he *did* for that moment of getting the better of Billy...
Well, the show characterized them way differently than the comic.
I still liked the show though, people are bein' crazy about it
@Patbacknitro This was once scene in particular I preferred in the comic, because Hughie jumping is an action, and it's one that Butcher doesn't expect, jerking him back into big-brother-protecty mode.
@RealAnimeKage The design for his costume in the show was maybe too big of an improvement
show designs were better in every way, but I don't think that was totally the point in the comics. Costumed super-powered people would look stupid in real life, so the designs were all gaudy and clunky.
@CuriosoNoBeat more'n dat, they were mostly better
•Stormfront was infinitely improved
•Stillwell got redistributed between Madelyn and the show's Stan
•Neuman was unrecognizable, seemed weird to even give her the same name (infinitely better character)
•Mallory was... marginally better
@momiji_doa Agreed that it's baffling, but I have not trusted them to do right by the X series for a very very long time. I am happy that X1, X2, and X4 are among the best games I'll ever play.
I *liked* DiVE, but it was a bad game.
I'd be more apprehensive than glad if X9 were announced.
@BeigeFrequency He had lines and actions that were pretty direct jabs at Trump, but the actual character was never a parody of the man himself, no
lots of conflation, I think
