✨Erasmus scholarship really said: here’s funding, here’s Europe, go explore 🌎
One visa unlocks all 27 Schengen countries.
In 2 years, I’ve been to countries my younger self only saw in Google Images.

Before diving into applications, take a moment to ask yourself: Why do you want to pursue graduate school?
🎯 Setting clear, meaningful goals will keep you focused throughout the application process.
Yet again, Pakistan had topped the world in Erasmus Mundus scholarship awards this year.
🇳🇬 Nigeria didn't make the top 5.
With so much talent in the country, the question isn't whether Nigerians are capable. It is what we're missing in awareness, motivation, preparation, mentorship, or strategy.
Are you a Nigerian first class graduate dreaming of a Ph.D. in Hong Kong?

🔊 Unpopular opinion: If you can comfortably sponsor your degree, leave scholarships for those who actually can’t sponsor themselves.
The pool is already competitive enough.
Make that your contribution to society.
Community service no dey always require certificate.

How many Nigerians applied? Beyond the numbers, the more important questions are eligibility and the overall quality of the applications submitted.
Countries such as Pakistan and several others across Asia have had dedicated platforms, Facebook groups, and scholarship communities promoting these opportunities for years. Many applicants also invest in strengthening their profiles through IELTS preparation, research publications, volunteer experiences, and other activities that make them more competitive. In some cases, applicants already hold a master's degree, which can further enhance their chances.
There are many factors at play in any scholarship competition. That is why the scholarship journey requires intentionality, consistency, and long-term planning. It is rarely about submitting one application and hoping for the best.
We both know that not everyone is willing to endure the preparation, rejections, sacrifices, and persistence that often come before success. The sweetness of a scholarship is usually preceded by a great deal of hard work, resilience, and patience.
