When the law is used to block a peaceful campaign, it confirms why the call for change is so urgent. The system is afraid of the ballot. #UgandaDecides@HEBobiwine If they fear Iganga, imagine their panic when the whole country votes @HEBobiwine 🇺🇬
Now that you’re all looking at my timeline for updates, let me use this chance to ask you kindly to retweet this shoe until it reaches the person in whose foot it fits!
FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!
Moses Kalangwa stood up in court and told my relatives and their lawyers that the only person that they can report him to is only God
that no court in Uganda can do anything to him
Amidst endless diversions by the regime to deflect citizens' attention from the recent electoral fraud and Uganda's deepening moral and institutional collapse, these words by retiring Judge His Lordship Stephen Egonda-Ntende at his farewell sitting yesterday could not have come at a better time. The Judge urged the judiciary to search deeply within itself for a soul.
He boldly condemned the injustice and cruelty of continuing to jail comrade Waiswa Mufumbiro without bail beyond the constitutional limit, moreover on a minor offence, to the extent of denying him the chance to accompany his children to bury their mother, his wife, the late Edith Katende.
Indeed, as the good Judge suggested, no Ugandan should ever be treated like this again by their own country!
Everyone is now arguing: ‘Nyanzi is a traitor’ or ‘Nyanzi is a victim.’ But I think both are wrong.
The truth is that he’s a pawn in a game the state designed many years ago. NUP's electoral management team managed to identify and smoke out three prominent traitors, but I am not sure they saw this plan coming from state.
The real question is: why does NUP, a movement that survived bullets, teargas, abductions and all that, get broken by a "likely testimony" from Fred Nyanzi?
It is because we romanticise loyalty. We treat it as sacred, even when it becomes a trap.
Loyalty without strategic thinking is just a leash. The state pulled it.
If NUP doesn’t learn that blind allegiance is a liability, this won’t be the last time. The enemy learned how to use your strength against you. Now you must learn how to adapt.
The state is no longer interested in jailing NUP supporters; they are interested in jailing the NUP’s soul.
1⃣The inclusion of Fred Nyanzi (former chairman of Mobilization and Bobi Wine’s biological brother) on the prosecution's witness list is not a legal necessity. It is a weapon of mass distrust.
2⃣We have moved past the era of simple arrests. We are now in the era of narrative fratricide. The state’s objective isn't a "Guilty" verdict for the foot soldiers; it’s a "Traitor" label for the leadership. By forcing a brother to stand on the side of the accuser, the regime is triggering a psychological collapse within the opposition’s base.
3⃣Think about the foot soldier in the dock. They are looking at the man who mobilized them, the brother of their president, potentially being used as the instrument of their conviction. This creates betrayal trauma. It forces the supporter to ask: "Is the struggle a family business or a national cause?"
4⃣This is a classic game theory trap. If Bobi Wine defends his brother, he risks appearing to protect the "elite" while the base suffers. If he denounces him, he shatters his own family’s cohesion. The state wins by simply creating the dilemma.
5⃣The "military drills" are a footnote. The real story is the state’s attempt to manufacture a "Civil War" within NUP’s inner circle. They want to replace the movement's hope with a paralyzing paranoia.
6⃣In the end, the regime knows that a house divided by blood cannot stand against a state united by power. The courtroom is just the stage; the actual war is for the heart of every supporter watching from the pews.

How about we Contribute some Money towards BoBi wine's Special Team in appreciation for Keeping President Bobi Wine Safe for these two months. They surely deserve some Love from Ugandans 😍❤️
Fellow Ugandans and friends of Uganda!
Two months ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself president on gunpoint. A day later, gripped by shame and fear, the military invaded my home to harm me, but I was able to evade them and go into hiding.
Over the past two months, the regime has looked for me everywhere. They have raided the homes of many colleagues and fellow leaders, mounted roadblocks and spot checks of vehicles and motorcycles, arrested and dismissed the police officers assigned to my campaign, raided our home in the village, and kept my home under siege. Well, they couldn't find me because the people of Uganda sheltered me and protected me.
Today, I am announcing my brief exit from the country to handle important work. Over the next few weeks, I will engage with our friends and allies all over the world before returning to Uganda to continue the push for freedom and democracy! For now, let's remain focused and united.

In the 2021 election, the police officers who were attached to our campaign were attacked violently and subjected to all manner of brutality. After the election, several of them including their head, Afande Kato were arrested and detained for a long period. We learnt that they were questioned about our sources of funding, who I was meeting, what our plans were, etc. They were also interrogated about why they always sought to protect us from violent attacks by other sections of the police and military.
Now, 2026, we have learnt that the officers who were attached to our campaign have also been arrested, and are being interrogated. These officers are usually targeted for doing their job with professionalism and patriotism. May we all stand in solidarity with them, and work for their freedom.

Very grateful to the European Parliament @Europarl_EN for debating the situation in Uganda and passing a very important resolution condemning the sham election, as well as the subsequent violations of human rights by the Museveni regime. Adding your voices to those of the millions of oppressed people in Uganda reassures us that the world is watching and that eventually, there will be accountability for the crimes committed against the people of Uganda.
