Company fires entire HR department, stock soars as culture goes from woke clownshow to “get ‘er done.”
HR is an $88 billion ideological commissar that makes workers miserable, crushes companies, and actually reduces diversity as employees walk on eggshells.
California's governor candidates were asked if truck drivers should be able to read road signs. Most of them said no. Anyone who believes truck drivers don't need to understand road signs is a moron. I go through their answers so you don't have to.

A personal check for $2,900 just arrived from California State Controller Malia Cohen — made payable directly to me, Herbert W. Morgan, and mailed to my home address.
This refund stems from an overpayment on our Voter Guide statement submitted in January. The Secretary of State charges by the word but bills candidates for the maximum allowed rather than counting at submission. They then take five months to perform a simple word count and issue a refund.
I was explicitly told the refund would be credited back to the original credit card. Instead, Controller Cohen’s office issued a paper check to me personally rather than to the campaign committee at the proper campaign address.
This reflects a fundamental lack of financial expertise and basic procedural competence from the very official responsible for overseeing state disbursements and fiscal integrity. As State Controller, Malia Cohen is expected to ensure accurate, secure, and appropriate financial transactions — not create unnecessary complications, fraud risks, or potential tax liabilities for candidates.
When the payee line reads “Herbert W. Morgan” instead of the campaign committee, the entire process changes. How many of the thousands of statewide candidates receiving these refunds will properly redirect them to their campaigns, and how many will simply deposit them personally?
These are precisely the types of systemic failures and oversight deficiencies a State Controller should identify and correct — not perpetuate.

Foreign tourists are now visiting this tiny sushi shop in Tokyo.
It’s called Wakana Sushi, in Higashi-Nagasaki.
It was just featured on Japanese TV.
The chef is Sachiko Shimizu.
She’s 83 years old.
And she still makes the sushi herself.
The special sushi set is around 3,000 yen.
In Tokyo.
Made by an 83-year-old sushi chef.
That sounds impossible, but it’s real.
Big pieces of fish.
A small counter.
An old neighborhood sushi shop.
Not luxury.
Not flashy.
Not made for Instagram.
Just real Japan.
After a Canadian influencer introduced this shop, more people from overseas started coming.
Honestly, I’m happy about that.
Because places like this deserve to be known.
But I also hope people visit with respect.
This is not just “cheap sushi.”
This is someone’s life’s work.
And I really hope shops like this survive forever. 🍣🇯🇵
NEW: Secretary of State Marco Rubio jokes about his visit to Sweden, comparing the weather to his home state of Florida while teasing hosts about the country's early sunrises.
"They keep apologizing to me for the weather. There's nothing wrong with this weather. Miami is 95 degrees with mosquitoes and humidity this time of year.
"But your sunrises are way too early."
Monet painted The Magpie when he was 28. No one knew him.
He had just become a father and was living in extreme poverty.
He presented it at the Paris Salon and they laughed at him. They told him it was unfinished.
From our country’s beginning, for as long as America has embodied freedom and exceptionalism, the soul of our nation has been rooted in the Christian faith.
Today we gather, as our forefathers did on this day centuries ago, to rededicate our nation to God.
Los Angeles Daily News editorial board says L.A. property owners should vote no on the streetlight assessment. Raises the annual charge 120%, adds an yearly inflation adjustment with no cap, lets copper wire thieves keep stealing at your expense.

If you are a career politician, are running for re-election, or are jumping from one elected position to the next and you are now claiming you’re going to fix all our issues in LA City or LA County - I do NOT trust you. You were or are in charge! You caused the issues and clearly failed to fix them. Time for someone else to be put in charge.
On a 4 mile stretch of Figueroa St in South LA, from Gage Ave to Imperial Hwy, is a well-known area for rampant child sex trafficking & child prostitution known as “The Blade.” It’s one of the most dangerous areas for child human trafficking in the State of California.
Some in LA are now talking about “the crisis of 11 year old child prostitutes walking Figueroa Corridor” and no LA politicians trying to help & protect these children.
Law enforcement has been talking about this crisis for years but to no avail. So, let’s go back to 2022, when Wiener authored SB 357, most of the radicals in the Assembly & Senate supported it, and Newsom signed it into law. It was ironically and as standard for CA called the “Safer Streets for All Act.” It eliminated the crime of loitering in a public place with the intent to commit prostitution. Well, it didn’t make anyone safer. What this bill did do, however, was prevent law enforcement from detaining and eventually saving children from sex traffickers. It made children less safe. It took a tool away from detectives and others in law enforcement who were actually trying to help abused children. It emboldened pimps & traffickers. It allowed open air prostitution markets to operate without law enforcement intervention.
Yes, children’s lives are at stake. So no Weiner and Newsom or anyone else, this law was never meant to help children. This is what Newsom said when he signed SB 357 into law, I will “monitor crime and prosecution trends for any possible unintended consequences and will act to mitigate any such impacts.” What leader says that after signing a bill???? And NO, lack of children’s safety should NEVER be an “unintended consequence.” If it could possibly be, you DO NOT sign that law.
If you really want to protect children, amend SB 357, support our LE, start paying attention to all the radical laws passed by our Legislature and vote for better people.
The capital gains tax on the sale of a primary residence in California is insane, outdated, and damaging the finances of local school districts. Where's our congressional delegation? They should be leading the charge to fix this. https://t.co/aBrWQGC3io
Masoumeh Ebtekar - also known as "Screaming Mary" - was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days - subjecting them to beatings, starvation, and mock executions.
In 2014, the Obama Administration granted visas to her son and his family to enter the United States. In June 2016, the Obama Administration gave them lawful permanent resident status via the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.
This week, I terminated their lawful permanent resident status and today, Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending their removal from our country.
Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country.
America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families - and under the Trump Administration, it never will.
Nithya Ramen talks like she just stepped foot in Los Angeles for the first time and discovered the failure and dysfunction.
Unfortunately she has been on the city council for six years and is key part of the failure and dysfunction.
The cartoon series Tom & Jerry remains iconic. You might see the music by Scott Bradley as being trivial, but it is a highly sophisticated fusion of Jazz & modern classical music. If is devilishly difficult to play.
Sometimes atonal, (lacking harmony) it also reflects the increasing use of percussion, which is mainly a classical music initiative.
You can just imagine Tom getting his comeuppance.
