@FoodProfessor That’s a lofty wish. My guess would be that most get their information from unreliable sources who skew the data. Even on X, you only see one side, typically the side where you follow the most. It’s very difficult to find the truth these days.

@FoodProfessor It’s an interesting concept. Similar to this lose places where you prepay for a coffee or a slice of pizza. Not sure if it’s a sustainable model though. Even the wealthy like to save where possible.

@AndyDayes @FoodProfessor The cost of food/supplies/rent was much more affordable. Restaurants have not been able to realize the 30/30/30/10 rule. Costs have risen to where restaurants cannot pass along those costs, customers are not willing to pay. Labor is the one area that is still under their control.

@FoodProfessor The real question should be will manufacturers and others pass along the savings? Or will it be one of those situations where “consumers are used to paying $x$ so let’s keep charging the same”
