Sadness when I’m standing on parliament st and three Americans ask me is it ok to walk down that way to the quays as they heard it was dangerous. Tourism will die some day if something is not done. #irelandtourism
📢 "Let's be clear, this isn't because of a lack of support from the consumer, or a lack of effort on our part - it's because the cost of doing business has spiralled out of control and the Government has refused to take meaningful action to address this."
Today, Paul Lenehan, President of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, addressed the large crowd gathered to support the hospitality industry at our #HospitalityDayofAction

We gave consumers a very favorable budget which will put more money in their pockets which will translate to spending in Retail and Hospitality

The Lord Mayor of Dublin - Fine Gael Cllr James Geoghegan - joined ‘The Tonight Show’ as part of a panel discussion on the recent wave of restaurant closures and its impact on towns, villages and cities - including the capital - last night.
As part of the debate, @GeogheganCllr expressed his and Fine Gael's support for the reinstatement of the 9% VAT rate in Budget 2025 to ensure the survival of independent restaurants, cafés and pubs in Dublin city and throughout the country.
