Carlton is sick of Mike. Mike's always acting like Will's bf. Ignoring Carlton like an inconvenience and nothing else. Will doesn't see it.
One day at a party, during truth or dare, a drunk Carlton does the unthinkable.
"Put Mike on speaker and tell him you're horny, Will"
diminished his connection with the party before, centralizing herself and telling him she needed to be the most important part of his universe bc she’s his wife. and the saddest part is that i don’t think she did it consciously, she was just taught to view a romantic >
i think is also important to point out how isolated mike actually was. she has always had an entire life and friends outside of him (ppl saying “oh, he’s destroying her life!” when yeah, he’s messing up the /romantic/ aspect of it and that’s huge, but she has a career, a job >
if byler was endgame in the show i would’ve loved the epilogue to include a parallel to the jancy being late s3 scene, but it’s byler waking up late for graduation, and then mike kisses will goodbye in front of joyce and she says ‘you don’t think it’s gross anymore, huh?”
