The FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers witnessed an exciting clash between Italy and Austria in Hyderabad. The match was inaugurated by Smt CH.Priyanka, IAS, Special Commissioner, Information & Public Relations.

I&PR Special Commissioner C.H. Priyanka directed DPROs to constitute District-Level Accreditation Committees within one week, in coordination with District Collectors and local print & electronic media representatives.

Addressing a training workshop at the Telangana Media Academy, she emphasised transparency in application processing, scrutiny, approvals, registration number allotment, and online downloading of accreditation cards under the Telangana Media Accreditation Rules, 2025.

Telangana Media Academy Chairman K. Sreenivas Reddy urged DPROs to issue State and District-level accreditation cards strictly as per government guidelines.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Shri @revanth_anumula has provided a clear and decisive new direction to Telangana within just two years, said Revenue, Housing & I&PR Minister Shri Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy .

Speaking at a workshop of District Public Relations Officers, organised by the I&PR Department and Media Academy at Hyderabad, the Minister said the State has steadily progressed with development and welfare initiatives gaining strong momentum.

He said the government has consistently stood by the poor, implementing welfare schemes across agriculture, education, healthcare, housing, ration cards, fine rice distribution and employment, thereby reinforcing public trust.

Emphasising the role of communication, the Minister called upon PR officers to further strengthen the bridge between the government and citizens, and to effectively utilise print, electronic, digital and social media to take government programmes to the people.

He also encouraged officials to visit the field and creatively document successful initiatives for wider public outreach.

🎬 HISFF 2025 takes off in Hyderabad

Hon’ble Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Shri Komatireddy Venkat Reddy attended the Hyderabad International Short Film Festival (HISFF) 2025 as Chief Guest, calling it a promising beginning for Hyderabad and Telangana’s growing film culture.

He said Hyderabad has emerged as a cinema hub, attracting filmmakers from across India, with short films playing a crucial role in nurturing young talent, creative freedom and new storytelling.

The Minister stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Shri @revanth_anumula , the Telangana Government is fully committed to supporting the film industry by ensuring easy permissions, better infrastructure and strong institutional backing, with the goal of making Telangana the best state for filmmakers in the country.

Highlighting participation from filmmakers across eight North Eastern states, he said such festivals strengthen cultural integration and reflect Hyderabad’s spirit as a “Mini India.”

Film-making in Telangana Made Easier: FDC Chairman Dil Raju

The Government of Telangana is taking a major step to simplify film production in the state. A dedicated website, “Films in Telangana,” is being developed to provide all approvals required for film shooting, cinema theatre operations, and other permissions related to the growth of the film industry — through a single-window system.

A special workshop on this initiative was held today at Tourism Plaza, #Begumpet, with the participation of senior officials from various departments and representatives of the film industry. The session was led by Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, FDC Managing Director C.H. Priyanka, and #Tourism Corporation MD Valluru Kranti.

Speaking on the occasion, #FDC Chairman Dil Raju said that Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been extending full support for the development of the #Telugufilm industry, and this opportunity must be utilized to its fullest potential. He explained that national and #International #filmmakers will soon be able to come to #Telangana with just a #script, and the website will provide them with complete information — including shooting locations, departmental permissions, technical support, availability of technicians, and accommodation facilities in Hyderabad and across the state.

“For the first time in India, such a comprehensive facility is being introduced in Telangana,” he emphasized.

Further, he announced that the process of issuing B-Form licenses for cinema theatres will also be made available online. Until now, police commissioners in cities and additional collectors in districts were issuing these licenses. Going forward, the Home Department is finalizing modalities to make this system entirely online.

Dil Raju @DilRajuOff_ also invited suggestions and feedback from film industry representatives and departmental officials for the effective design of the website. Once finalized, the portal will be launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister shri @revanth_anumula and Cinematography Minister Shri @KomatireddyKVR
