@jlinehan9 I was about 8, there was a house with their light on so we knocked. It was a full on house party of 20-somethings. They were like “oh dang sorry” and went to the alcohol table and got us a sunny d and turned off their light 😂
As someone who got her degree in neuropsychology while all this was happening, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, lie about your symptoms, do not go back to playing before you are cleared. Your brain is FOREVER, sports are temporary. Prayers for Tua. Protect the players.
After my third concussion in a year and a half I was struggling. My head was so scrambled, I was failing my classes, I was angry and frustrated. When I told my assistant coach I was still under concussion protocol she told me “well you can just lie” to the athletic trainer.
Jackie Walorski lived in my town when I was growing up. Her husband was my music teacher in elementary school. I had the pleasure of meeting her several times over the years. She was a woman I looked up to and one to be admired. Prayers to Mr. Swihart and their family. 🕊
