There’s something interesting Messi and Musk have in common.
Not the names. Not the fame.
Both are undeniably talented. Both worked incredibly hard. Both achieved things most people can only dream of.
Yet their critics make a similar argument: greatness looks even greater when the system around you helps.
Musk built companies that benefited from government contracts, subsidies, and regulatory advantages.
Messi built a legendary career while countless fans spent years arguing about favorable calls, controversial penalties, and tournament paths that seemed to break his way.
I’m not saying either man isn’t exceptional.
I’m saying that in 2026, half of X seems convinced that success is never just about talent anymore, guys, it’s also about who gets the better rules, the better breaks, and the favorable referees.

Iran scored a goal which was disallowed and had several other good chances. Courtois made a few good saves. Not completely the bus parked. A smart defense against a strong team.
